I wouldn't be surprise if the Warriors don't pick up Speights' option, or more likely, pick it up and try to trade him for a low-cost asset (e.g. future draft pick) - specifically, this is likely if they aren't able to move Lee's contract and are massively in the tax. If they can't move Lee, Speights' contract is actually going to cost them around $10M in real dollars, and he's more of a bit player when Ezeli is healthy. Being able to move Speights for a late first or, more likely, a second-round pick is something I'd expect the Warriors to consider.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, moving him to Utah for 42 would would make sense for both teams (you might get the Wolves to part with 36 but it seems unlikely). That'd give the Warriors more flexibility too, They could use 42 in a potential Lee dump or try and package it with 30 to move up into the first round (Cleveland might be too high but I'd shoot for that).

I think Bogut has an escalator in his contract if he makes an all defense team and 65 games.

Moving David Lee for a player who can be stretch waived is a possibility as well.

D Lee for G Wallace who can be stretch waived for a savings of 30 mil in luxury tax.

The thought of Draymond Green and a max contract makes me want to throw up. 4 years $40 mil is more like it for Draymond Green.
