Would the 76ers even consider a trade of
Aaron Gordon
Nicholson
Chicago 2015 and 2016 Second
for
Pick 3

D'Angelo Russell for Aaron Gordon, a throw in, and 2 second rounders? Lol. There's no way I would consider that if I were Philly.

As a Magic fan I wouldn't do it.
I don't think Sixers do it as well, I think they view Saric as their SF of the future? And I personally don't see Gordon as a PF.
Russell fits a lot better.

Payton/Gordon for Pick 3 is a bit closer. I'd still likely decline for Philly due to fit.

Gordon is much more likely to be successful at PF than SF in today's league.

Hennigan would throw in his mother to complete this deal. Hinkie would probably stare silently at the phone for a minute before very quietly hanging it up.

I wouldn't want Orlando to do it either.
Obviously they didn't expect Gordon to light the world on fire his first year, he's a project.
Plus, we don't have a pressing need for a guard so I don't think the 3rd would be our target.

Honestly stunned any Magic fans would turn down Gordon and nothing for #3.
Not that it matters because no chance Philly just dumps value like this, but still.....

how do you figure? his body type is SF. he has a SF's ball handling and passing. He doesnt have any type of PF game.

Same reason Josh Smith, Draymond Green, Thaddeus Young, Dario Saric, Lamar Odom, Andrei Kirilenko all were/are/will be at their best at PF.

I get how it seems, but AG barely played much. It might be more of a
we really want to just wait and see what he can do type of thing rather than saying AG > 3rd pick.

Hinkie has nothing that will ever be worth Aaron Gordon . You might be able to pry Oladipo but not AG

This draft is just too strong. Aaron Gordon is a guy who got picked a bit high in an iffy draft. I think he'd go 7th or 8th in this draft at best. And I'm a fan of his, he has vast potential.
The question is this:
#3
for
#5 and the 2018 Lakers 1st
Hinkie makes one more magnificent move. He grabs and extra 1st to move down only two spots. He gets a good player, whoever he likes at 5. And ANOTHER 1st. This guy plays the market.
The Magic get their guy, D'Angelo Russell, aka ButterFly. A sure fire 70% flicker under the lane and throughout the loopdie loop. Unprecendented. You gotta take it when you can get it.

Wait, wait, wait... you're saying that you value A. Gordon over Oladipo?!?

You can't possibly have a straight face behind that keyboard right now. If you're saying you don't want to give him up because you want to groom him and see what you get, sure I understand that. But value-wise, between Oladipo and A. Gordon right now, it's not even in the same universe.
Oladipo + 5 = 3 (+ MIA 1st + OKC 1st)
A. Gordon + 5 (+ 2018 LAL 1st) =\= 3

Not moving down for a pick that will most likely be in the 20's. Magic have better assets to come to the table with if they want to jump NY for Russell. And no, not A. Gordon.
