LAL - PHI - ORL

I'd like to start off by saying that I don't have a good feel on how the sixers and magic feel about the value of the players involved so if it's looks terrible, my bad
LA
trades - - Jordan Clarkson and Ryan Kelly
Receive - Mario Hezonja
WHY? Trade for a young player that's a compliment to D'Angelo Russell. By trading clarkson makes one less ball dominant player and ISO scorer. Mario has a ways to go but so does our franchise.
ORL
Trades - Mario Hezonja
Receives - Nerlens Noel
WHY? Trade their high draft pick that is buried behind young talent ahead of him. Acquire a center that was born to play for Scott Skiles and can be the anchor to a young athletic versatile defense.
PHI
Trades - Nerlens Noel
Receives - Jordan Clarkson and Ryan Kelly
WHY? Gets them a young stud PG that can put the ball in the basket. Only reason Spurs and Hawks offense works is because they have scoring point guards, something Brett Brown never has got. Ryan Kelly is a throw in but he does have the skills to fill the Matt bonner role in Brett Browns system.
Begin the antagonizing.

If the choice is: Noel or Hezonja or Clarkson and Kelly, the Laker package would be the last one Philly would pick. For Philly this is a very easy pass.

Calling the Sixers " the divers" is baiting. Let's not do that in the future please.
And yeah I don't like this for the Sixers at all. I wouldn't like if Clarkson still had years left on his contract, but really don't like it since he doesn't.

I spent two minutes trying to figure out what in the world you were talking about only to see the auto correct from my phone renamed "sixers" to divers
Seems like Nerlens is under appreciated asset one in this trade. Got ya. I was thinking more of a balancing the roster with even talent. I guess philly feels and probably justified they can bet more for Netlens.

Would rather just cut LAL out and take Hezonja for ourselves

I cant see Orlando looking to trade Hezonja for Noel. Noel is looking to get paid soon, Hezonja is 20 games into rookie year.
Noel is also down in shooting and FT %, down in blocks, steals. what is wrong with him?
Also, i always thought Noel's best spot was PF, is that not the case anymore?

Noel was a 60.9% FT shooter last year, and is at 60.3% this year (before last night). I would consider that the same for all intents and purposes, and not down in shooting.
In terms of his best position, it is definitely center. On offense, he is a Denare Jordan type who is great with a dump down or a lob pass, but shouldn't be out shooting 14-18 footers. For defense, he can play either spot as he is quick enough to guard a perimeter 4. Despite the worries on here that fans of other teams have about his size, Noel is a very solid post defender and excels as a help defender near the hoop. So, you are losing what makes Noel elite by dragging him too far from the hoop. Which is why his blocks are down. (Steals are pretty close to last years numbers, and I would posit that the small drop off is because why go at Noel when you can go at Okafor)

So over these Noel to Orlando trades.
He is best at center and even there he's not that great.
Simply not a good fit, unless were moving Vuc.

Assuming the Lakers didn't feel that Russell and Clarkson could co-exist moving forward, they're NOT trading him for an unproven prospect who might be able to play in the NBA. The Lakers would likely just cut out Orlando, and keep Nerlens Noel instead since he fits well next to Julius Randle.

He's a RFA this offseason whose subject to the Gilbert Arenas clause, and should he choose the QO then he's a RFA next offseason as well. You'd essentially have him under contract for at least two full years.

I don't think the trade gets done without Orlando. Clarkson the third most valuable piece in the trade and Kelly probably has negative value. Lakers fans should stop including him in offers.

espn has him at 60.9% last year, 58.2% this year.
but good to know a reason behind the dip in his other numbers.

Yeah, he went 4-8 last night. I had looked it up on bbref as I didn't think it had dropped and early today it hadn't added last nights numbers yet. Then I looked back and it had and I had to edit my comment to before last night.
For what its worth, I think his form is such that a 60-65% will be his range, and I wouldn't expect a big improvement ever from there. So, not to be overly pessimistic, but I just don't think it will never be good. Okafor on the other hand has a nice form and touch and I would expect a lot better eventually to be possible despite both being pretty equally horrible in college.

I think Noel could work at PF on defense and C on offense along with backup minutes at Center but I wouldnt trade Hezonja before we see what kind of player he is.
I wonder if Philly would be interested in a Harris/Nicholson for Noel swap, Harris would thrive as the first option on the Sixers.

or how about keeping our assets and trying that first with a cheaper immediate option in Dedmon?

thought that was tried, and a big reason why Dedmon is sitting on the bench

So is Dewayne Dedmon, actually currently has a better defensive rating than Noel.
Genuinely not saying he isn't a good player just not what Orlando needs especially at the price of Hezonja.

Exactly my point why it won't work with Noel
