Keiff netting the Suns a decent 1st round pick.

The Suns actually got a first round pick for Markieff ... and it might even be a lotto pick. :o

Yeah, I had Kieff's value as expirings and a *late* pick. Had no feeling that anyone would give up a pick that could end up in the lottery for him. So I was wrong on that one.

I was even wronger on Omer Asik, whose signing I defended at the start of the season. I thought having a low-touches bruiser was actually a good fit to let Anthony Davis do what he does...but Asik just did not play well at all. I should also have realized that putting him in a Gentry offence was simply not going to work.

I liked the Monroe acquisition for Milwaukee and still do...but I thought for sure that team would keep rising.

I thought Belinelli was going to be the *best* value signing for the Kings this year. Wrong all the way around on that one :-?

I thought gambling a max contract on Reggie Jackson was a big mistake...not worth THAT much. But he's done very well.

I'm sure there are a lot more...will update as I think of them :D

Same page as everyone else in here... I thought there was no way that Keiff would get this type of return.

Me too (about the Suns getting a first for Morris). It's still hard for me to believe that the Wizards did this. On the other hand, I nailed the Heat's trades (Stokes + Birdman + 2nd round picks for nothing but getting out of the luxury tax!)

Kieff worth a 1st round pick.

The Grizzlies getting Lance Stephenson. (Cue the Bad Boys music featuring the Grizzlies Most Wanted roster)

Didn't think the Grizzlies could get a first back in the Jeff Green trade.

Thought the Raptors would go after Al Horford.

Thought the Pelicans would wise up and trade for assets to build around AD23.

:nonono: Whoever thought eating crow could give u gas.

I'm done with this.

Kieff x 1000

Thought Presti would use McGary and pull off a trade for a better wing. Foye trade was good but not the upgrade needed.

Thought there would be some big action at the last minute. There was action, but mostly meh.

Yup, the possible high 1st for Kieff.

Also, i didn't think Jeff Green could net a 1st.

-> Markieff Morris not only fetching expiring contracts, but getting a 1st on top of it? Image

-> Charlotte didn't bother upgrading the center position. Image

-> Definitely thought the Rockets would blow it up for several future picks and tank for the bottom. Image

-> I was sure Sacramento would do something, anything! Image

Ordering my Crow
I thought Boston would use some of their asset on a starting center .

Markief is the big one for me obviously. I predicted the Suns would stretch him.....

Like everyone else, Kief brought back more than I expected. I wouldn't have been surprised at a late or highly protected 1st but they actually got a good pick in the deal.

I considered Jeff Green EC filler, not a guy who gets EC filler and a 1st back in a trade.

I'm surprised that Toronto didn't make a - likely smallish - move. Someone like Tucker or Dudley. I thought they were more likely to make a move than Boston as Boston already has depth so a small move wouldn't really help and it was always possible that they couldn't connect the dots on a medium or large deal.

Though Harry Truman would not approve, I have to admit that I have a massive crow to eat other than Markieff Morris.

Image

I thought Sam Mitchell would be a good coach for our team and that we would make the playoffs.

Thought Kieff would net expirings and a second

Thought the Bucks would be much improved as well as Washington

Thought Houston was a probable top 4 west team with Lawson

I'm sure I'll have more later!

I haven't predicted enough to be served crow, but here are some of my beliefs that were mis-timed:

I really thought Cleveland would get value for Mozgov before he signed a 15M per year contract elsewhere. Guess the rental is worth it if they give the Warriors a run for their money.

I thought Varejao was immovable. On the same note, I thought Frye was immovable as well.

I expected 1 trade to make me tingle... none did.

I never doubted Markieff would net a good value 1st, but it looked really bad when you said it prior to it happening. Well I guess you just need 1 fool, not 29.

I think Markieff will push the Wiz into the playoffs.
