How much money would you risk on Donatas Motiejūnas per year?

Hypothetically, how much money would you offer Donatas Motiejūnas? I personally have considered him the closest thing to Arvydas Sabonis that we have ever seen offensively (Donatas is more diverse in the post, but Arvydas was four inches taller), as he is a phenomenal passer (one of the best in the league), is a great low-post threat, can handle the ball, and has good mobility, but Donatas has broken down multiple times throughout his career.

What would you personally offer him?

For clarification, it might help to note if the totals are per year or total $ on a contract. I would also add at least one lower range assuming its per year to the poll; for those of us who are still not used to the new cap, scared of his injury, or just those of us that are low ballers.

Good idea, it has been changed for clarification.

I'd honestly have no problem with 10-12.

Solid 10-12 million. He is a pretty good player and should more than earn his contract

5-8 million a year. It would be on a short term deal to see if he can finally live up to his potential. He hasn't shown enough to pay much more.

Something like $7-9 a year for 3 years. Back issues and all. He probably wouldn't accept though with me following the PIstons and all.

8-10 million. He's a decent player but with those injuries I wouldn't gamble on him long term

Just remember that in terms of salaries this season, next year's will be about 35% more. Under our current cap I think he's worth about $8 million, which is about $11 million in next year's salaries. I think he is easily a 15 and 7 player that can stretch the floor, move the ball and provide some unique options in terms of creating mismatches at power forward and center. Others might disagree based on the injuries, and if teams are concerned I wouldn't pay him that, but we will see.

I said 10-12 because of Injury concerns. Going more very well make some GM look good-----or bad. I love his game and if he didn't have injury concerns I could see him flirting with 20 million /year.

He's going to get 15 per I believe. Rockets prob understand that they need to get value in a S & T. It might not work but watch Houston market him as a s&t guy to teams that DONT have the capspace

Or he goes to a Brooklyn type in a overpay

I'm in the 3yr/$30MM boat solely based on the injury concerns. If he is medically cleared by team doctors I could see some team offering $12-14MM per. I hope Hammond/Kidd target him since he would be a great fit on the Bucks.

I think that 4/40 is the floor he will see in Free Agency;
But I wouldn't at all be surprised if he ended up getting between 12 - 14m per.
