...so...yeah...things are looking much better. Can't really be much worse if you actually had suffered through a season watching Calderon look like absolute poop. After a season of watching him play, I now know understand Raptor fans who said that he only makes safe passes (to get his assist numbers up) and really doesn't do much to make a teams' offense run better. It was basically Calderon, dribbling the ball up slow and methodically looking for Carmelo Anthony at the first chance he gets. Even a half season of Rose will look great compared to full season of this bad boy.

The Magic got better coaching, better defensive players, more tough, and better 3pt shooting. We lost some perimeter D and scoring with Victor but the scoring slack can be picked up with more growth and playing time for Mario Hezonja and Aaron Gordon. 3pt shooting should see an improvement with Jodi Meeks also.

The Magic also solidified their PG depth. With CJ Watson out for most of the year with injuries, Orl won't have to trout out Shabazz Napier or Oladipo at PG anymore. Augustin will be a God-sent for our 2nd unit as a floor general. He can penetrate and hit the 3-ball at a 40% clip. With a decent backup, that stabilizes the 2nd string and allows for other players to play in their roles.

Biggest addition was the defense and toughness we've added. Orl finally has an identity and will protect the paint with Ibaka & Biyombo. The added toughness of Green should allow the Magic to be more aggressive and let defense dictate offense.

Most important in all of this was the hiring of Frank Vogel and his staff. He's the perfect puppet master to pull the strings on the new players and allow the young guys to still develop. If he can bring his old Indiana identity and toughness to Orl, they're in great shape. Vogel is also a HUGE fan of Mario Hezonja, so the young player should see increased opportunities to grow and contribute.

On paper, I like the moves and see the potential for the year, for don't know how fast the chemistry will come together.

Can't look any worse as a Philly fan. Still praying that we unload one of our bigs to improve the backcourt, but I'm happy with the offseason so far. Embiid and Saric are massive question marks but Simmons alone could double our win count from last year.

Blazers added 2 solid rotation players in Ezeli and Turner addressing two key needs of interior D/rim protection and Evan Turner adds another distributor and improved wing defender. So far have spent a ton of money but have re-signed 2 0f 3 RFAs in Leonard and Crabbe and now waiting on Harkless. Now a very, very deep team and I would think goal is a 50-win season. I would not be surprised to see a consolidation trade coming this summer or by the deadline.

Replacing Karl with Joerger, or a ill fitting coach who the team quit on before all star break to a fitting coach will be big. Replacing McLemore with capable vet is a breath of fresh air

Still going to be a struggle building something but at least I don't feel as if coaching or a certain position will be an albatross to what is happening

Warriors will probably lose 8-10 more games even if they are healthy and added Durant. Olympic commitments after playoff run gives little rest. Middle portion of the depth is new so will take time to gel. Will miss Bogut Ezelli rim protection.

We have likely lost Tayshaun Prince and possibly Kevin Garnett, but have gained Brandon Rush, Cole Aldrich, and best of all Tom Thibodeau. This off-season has gone very well for us, especially if we cut Adreian Payne.

Dallas is equally as unimpressive. I haven't been able to convince myself Barnes is a star, couple more weeks of working at it.

Love Utah's team even more after seeing the simple in/out and health. They have so much talent and so much depth, it is crazy. Think they get 4th seed

Toronto started off the summer by extended coach Dwane Casey and then followed that up by re-signing DeRozan for another 5 years to keep him up North.

Toronto had no cap space this summer except the MLE which was used on Sully. I think if the roster remains like this we got a little bit worse on paper,but being one of the youngest teams in the league I expect some organic growth from our players. I think we will see big improvements from JV, Powell and Wright after going deep in the playoffs.

I also expect Toronto to add a defensive C and 3&D type backups either through trade or FA. If we can somehow land someone like Birdman +Harkless for vet min deals I'd say this was a very successful summer.

Collison wants to start, voiced displeasure about bench, and is a fit with the starters (team had statistically a dominant starting unit in 2015), and his style fits our core. Him starting was/is always the plan. Your right about backup, we will see how it goes. I wanted to see I. Cousins, and I feel not re upping Curry was a mistake. We will see

Minnesota improved 13 games last year and with the new leadership, improved depth and maturation of young talent, I don't think a similar jump is out of the question. I think they can snag a bottom seed and be a 500+ team.
