Sounds like the offer come early next week from what I'm hearing. I'm very curious to see what the Nets are putting together here.

Interesting.... I have to assume it's a generous offer, otherwise Houston matches. Question is, how generous? And what does Houston match up to?
And I assume this means Bennett or Scola are done. Probably Bennett.

Almost for sure Bennett. They are the latest in the line of teams to realize he's just not very good. But it was a worthy low risk flyer.

If there's a hefty guarantee in a third year the Rockets probably would, and should, let him go. I love Dmo but with Dekker's play at the four and Nene and Harrell both playing as ok backup centers he isn't worth sacrificing flexibility

I think this is a good move for Brooklyn. I love Trevor Booker, but DMO is just better, and this gives them a lot more flexibility in their frontcourt to try different looks. How they defend will be interesting, though.

Dmo isn't as athletic but he is definitely a plus defender at 4, he positions himself well, draws lots of charges, and uses length to contest shots when he isn't quick enough to stay close to smaller players. At center his rebounding and rim protection are not good though

Gotta be at least 10M per or Morey matches, right? So I'm gonna take a stab at the offer sheet and say Marks tries to scare Morey off with term: 4 years, 40 million.

I suspect that Morey doesn't match unless it's low. The Rockets pulled their offer. That's usually a sign that a team has offered as much as they're comfortable offering. It will be north of whatever offer was pulled.

Ill go with 3 years, $30 million (11/10/9) with 3rd year partially guaranteed.

Morey should match anything around 10m. There is value in his upside. When Motiejunas is healthy and motivated, he is a solid player.

I think something like this. 2 years garenteed at between $10-15M per + maybe a team option.
Bky needs another big who can play (besides Brook) and gives them a potential trade chip he is has a good year. They aren't spending that money on anyone good any way.

My prediction is they really try to scare Houston off.

Yeah I was thinking the same.. 3/36-3/40 type offer.
Maybe they could offer less annually if they offered 4 years though.

The Nets have no draft picks...so anytime they can get an asset for free (not counting cap space), it's a win for them

IMO it will be a 2 year front loaded deal with a team option for the 3rd year.

I think Houston would match a 2 year deal. Gotta guarantee all 3 IMO.
