Trade Offers for MIN's #7?

Post#1 » by shrink » Wed May 17, 2017 1:22 am

This will change as we get closer to draft day, but a rough idea for picks would be:

1. BOS - Fultz?
2. LAL - Ball?
3, PHI - Fox?
4. PHX - Jackson?
5. SAC - Smith?
6. ORL - Tatum?

7. MIN - ????

MIN could pick Ntilinka for a trade down (Bleacher Report says he'd be a good fit here) to a team that needs a PG more, like DAL or NYK. Or they could trade out of the draft entirely for a starting PF or 3-D Swingman.

Ideas?

why not take Markkanen to pair up with KAT in the frontcourt and have Dieng as the main bench guy to rotate with both of them?

Anyway for the sake of this thread. Randle + 28th. Former 7th pick + the 28th which should be a good player at the end of the first

The Kings 10 & Bogdan, seems a bit lite, but the best we could do.

Jackson and Okafor for Wiggins and 7. Thibs gets himself some wing defense.

Id give O'Quinn or Kuz and the 8th to move up one slot. Nothing major, but I think the Wolves just take Issac and call it a day.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

Lol, not a chance. Wouldn't trade Wiggins for that, let alone adding 7.

I like Faried, Barton, #13. Clears more space for Denver to go after a Griffin or MIlsap while Wolves get a back up SG, a backup PF and a draft a C at #13

Rubio/Dunn/Young
Barton/LaVine/
Wiggins/Muhammed/
Towns/Faried/Bjelica
Dieng/Aldrich/#13

Mudiay/Nelson/#49
Harris/Murray/Beasley
Chandler/#7/#51
UFA/Hernangomez/Arthur
Jolkic/Plumlee/

I normally find myself agreeing with you value wise. This feels really bad for Minny and I know you don't overvalue Okafor. Which makes me think you are low on Wiggins. Which makes me wonder why you'd be in favor of this?

I guess I'm just confused. Would you mind sharing a bit more of your thoughts on this offer?

Can't imagine the Wolves trade that much cap space and 7 and walk away with that package. I actually think it gets closer without Faried, but Denver would need to still add another piece.

If Tatum is still there: 12, Marcus Morris and Stanley Johnson for 7 and Dunn. Would also do just 7 for 12, Morris and Ellenson.

Avery Bradley and Geurschon Yabuselle? Get an elite 3 and D SG for cheap next year and Geurschon Yabuselle is valued by a lot of analysts like a top 10 pick in this draft because his size, mobility, and length give him a decent shot at developing into a Draymond-lite defender who can hit 3s and attack the paint. Depends on the draft board, but the value seems there.

I don't think we really have a horse in this race but I'd offer 16+Portis+Valentine.

None of the deals mentioned in here so far would make me think about not just drafting Jonathan Isaac.

The Denver trade definitely intrigues me.

13, Barton, Chandler.

Wolves get a 6th man SG, a combo forward who can either start at the 4 or come off the bench and play 30 mpg at 3 and 4, both of which come off the books after next year so they'll still have long term flexibility.

Nuggets have the depth to lose those guys and get Issac, who is a really good fit with the core.

Why? Take on the money for Faried, who isn't good on defense or offense. Barton has a career year outside the arc, but is belowaverage for his career, oh yeah he wants to get paid next offseason as well. So, move back in the lottery and add long term salary commitment for players who aren't particularly interesting.
