Warning: this is not a new idea, but it's the offseason so

OKC out: Kanter, Singler, Ferguson, Grant, 2018 CHI 2nd

PHX out: Chandler, Dudley

Russ/Felton/Semaj
Roberson/Abrines
PG/McDermott/Huestis
Dudley/PPat/Collison
Adams/Chandler/Dakari

Thunder pick up wily vets for young pieces

Bledsoe/Ulis
Booker/Knight/Ferguson
Warren/JJ/Jones/Singler
Chris/Bender/Grant
Kanter/Williams

Suns pick up prospects and a high 2nd

I would save the young assets (Ferguson/Grant) for a better opportunity. I want to be there with Adams + Ferguson + Future 1st if and when a 3rd star becomes available at the deadline.

Yep I like this, or any version of a Kanter/Chandler swap honestly.

If the Knicks want to take the package above for Melo and OQuinn then let's blackmail Melo for it, but Adams is going nowhere unless we're talking someone that the Adams package couldn't possibly fetch

I feel like this one that benefits from having the contracts spelled out:

Enes Kanter $17,884,176 $18,622,514
Kyle Singler $4,666,500 $4,996,000 $5,333,500
Jerami Grant $1,524,305
Terrance Ferguson cap hold $1,785,000 and then etc...

Tyson Chandler $13,000,000 $13,585,000
Jared Dudley $10,000,000 $9,530,000

So, we are talking about neutral money for 2 years to get Fergusen, and a year of Jerami Grant before he becomes unrestricted.

To me, thats worth it for Phx. But the third year of Singler does kind of suck. Dropping the Singler/Dudley swap (and adjusting value incentives) doesn't make sense, as Phx keeps the more productive guy who they don't need. But it does have the added bonus that it helps OKC stay closer to under the tax. I like it better with the entire whole.

I would do Adams + Ferguson + 1st for Melo in 2 seconds. But doubt Melo waives the NTC for OKC.

In terms of the Adams package, and I started a trade deadline thread as a result of this thread, the guy that I have in mind is Boogie Cousins if it is going south in New Orleans. But even if a trade isn't made this year, assuming you keep both Westbrook and PG, Adams is the only real trade chip if and when that third pieces becoems available.

OKC doesn't consider anything around Adams for Melo, let alone the rest.

I like Boogie more than most, but he's an UFA and having all 3 guys be up is too much. Adams and Russ have a great rhythm and I think Adams and Russ is a good basis going forward no matter what happens. But I'm more focused on Russ extending than PG, because I am under the optimistic delusion that Russ isn't leaving, and I think Adams helps more in that respect.

I would roll the dice on Westbrook/George/Boogie not being able to get to a better situation next summer. That's enough talent to really challenge Golden State and the Knicks.

I hate the Singler/Dudley swap. Despite his salary being not so big, Singler is so freaking unproductive (and a huge liability in defense), that he definitely belongs to the worst contracts in the NBA.

I doubt that Grant represent any value for the Suns, when they already have young lottery pick PF's in Chriss and Bender. Ferguson is nice as a late 1st rounder, although the Suns seem to have found a servicable backup SG in Davon Reed, plus they have Knight, so Ferguson would have a very hard time to find PT behind Booker.

Simply remove Singler and Grant, the trade still works under the cap and the Suns might bite.

Any chance of replacing Dudley with BLEDSOE.. and then OKC adds in Abrines and/or Future 1st. Something like Bledsoe/Chandler for Kanter/Abrines/Singer/Ferguson/1st (or mix and match some of those last pieces).

Crazy to think Bledsoe could play the 2? Start the game at the 2... and then lead the 2nd unit when Russ isn't on the floor?

Westbrook/Felton
Bledsoe/Roberson
George/McDermott
PPat/Grant
Adams/Chandler

Small ball team of... Westbrook/Bledsoe/Roberson/George/Adams

If Presti thought Bledsoe can play the two then I'm on board with this. I would be interested in what it would take to get Bledsoe and Dudley rather than Chandler.

What about a Knight for Kanter swap? Knight can play both guard positions and I really don't like Felton as a back-up for Russ.

I could see Chandler being Adams' backup being a plus for the Thunder.

Felton's probably better than Knight, especially at his price. I wouldn't touch Knight for Kanter.

I cosign this. No way, no how Phoenix does this.

No...Ryan McDonough isn't as numb as Kevin Pritchard. McD has learned through his mistakes from the Knight/IT trades.
