OKC Out: Kanter, McDermott, Chicago 2018 2nd
In: Marvin Williams, Barton

OKC moves some semi questionable salary for more semi questionable salary and a really early 2nd for some bench power and a possible starting PF. Saves a little under the tax as well.

Brooklyn Out: Lin, Booker
In: Kanter, McDermott, Chicago 2nd

Brooklyn lets D Lo run the point and gains an extra asset plus a young shooter. Kanter can put up points, and their frontcourt right now is incredibly thin, he'd be an upgrade over anything they've got this year and at least be an expiring next year if they don't want him longer.

Denver Out: Nelson, Barton
In: Lin

Denver upgrades the starting PG a bit until they know the young guys can handle it. Lin would also be great off the bench.

Charlotte out: Marv
In: Booker, Nelson

Charlotte moves Marv's deal for an expiring and gets a backup PG better than MCW to bump him to 3rd string.

Note: This also works with Nelson to Brooklyn instead of Charlotte if they need a PG. OKC could send Semaj too but you don't want him.

I think Charlotte's getting a little too good of a deal based on value, but it doesn't seem to be at the expense of anyone else that I can see. I like it all around, though personally I'd prefer to deal Barton for an asset and just give Mudiay another chance, but I'm not high on Lin at all.

I don't think Charlotte does it with Dwight. Big men who can shoot are too important to that team now. I also think that the Nets pass although I'd love it if I were wrong.

The rationale for moving Marvin is freeing up minutes for Frank to start and sliding MKG and Batum up 1 position in smaller lineups. Swapping Marvin for Booker likely results in Booker getting squeezed from both directions....there just isn't a role for him between non-shooters Zeller, Dwight, and MKG.

I like the idea but CHA doesn't do this without Barton or Lin coming back.

Don't think I'd do it as Charlotte. Clearing Marv doesn't do much for them in terms of flexibility. OKC has to kick in more.

Value is pretty good all around though. Good idea.

Hm, trying to think of anything OKC could send to Charlotte as far as guards go but there's not much I'd see workable. Was hoping Booker's shooting would be enough for them, and thought the Lin experiment was over there.

If the rationale is freeing up minutes for a mediocre big who can't defend, well then, you gotta do it.

Booker can't really shoot.

Too bad Oladipo is no longer an option. OKC totally blew that one.

pass. Marvin > Booker and Nelson doesn't really move the needle. OKC just steals a ton of value here.

I think I rate Marvin Williams higher than you.

I see him as more needed in Charlotte and I don't see OKC giving up enough to get him.

Rest seems ok. Maybe have Denver add a little.

I don't like this for the Nets. Getting off Kanter for McD and a second feels kinda light in a salary dump, and Lin probably has decent value to the Nets as he and DLo will likely play together, and Booker is an expiring

I would pass for charlotte. Marvin Williams is a decent player. He is a bit streaky, but a good locker room guy and he won't be moved unless it is a clear upgrade.

Post all star break last year he gave us 11.6 pts 8.5 reb 1.8 ast 1 blk and 0.8 stl on 45% fg 36% 3pt and 91% ft

Last March he averaged like 13 pts and 10 rebs

He had games of 27, 21, 19, 18 and 15 pts during that stretch. He also had two 18 reb games. Charlotte should defiantly hang on to him.

Alright it was worth a shot, didn't think Marv was this highly valued.
