big blockbuster lakers, thunder and bulls.

Post#1 » by mecxi2000 » Thu Sep 14, 2017 9:18 pm

lakers sends clarkson, deng, ingram, lonzo and randle
laker in westbrook, george, grant, portis, payne and zipster

thunder sends westbrook, george and adams
thunder in wade, lonzo, randle, pondexter and chicagos next year first round pick without protections

bulls sends wade, pondexter, grant, portis, payne, zipster and next year first round pick without protection
Bulls inclarkson, deng, ingram and adams.

Why for the lakers insted of looking to add a second max players they would be looking to add a max player to play with westbrook and george.

While for the thunder they rebuild around lonzo, the chicago pick. Plus they get to look in randle, plus they sheed short and long term sallaries.

Why for teh bulls. They finish the rebuilding process. With a line up of dunn, lavine, ingram, miro and adams. And they keep in the bench clarkson, valentine and markanen

It's monstrously absurd to think that the Bulls would send out a pick, particularly an unprotected one, at this stage of their rebuild: they'd need to shut down the franchise if they not only ate the garbage contract of Deng, the contract of Clarkson and sent out a pick and a young rotational big. Hard no. No possible change except to remove the pick.

So LA becomes a worse version of OKC, OKC becomes a worse version of LA, and Chicago gives up an unprotected first while taking on the worst contract in the league?

I think all three teams pas, though LA should consider it just to become a semi-contender.. (Cause Warriors).. Keep Randle and send out future value IMO though..

But the other two should pass with quickness.

Just a general note for all in thread: low-effort gif posts and one-word answers aren't kosher for T&T board. Try to provide some content & at least a little depth in your critiques.

Easy pass for LA. We are happy, nay extatic, to compete with the Thunder for Westbrook and George on the open market.

Didn't Westbrook sign an extension? Thunder didn't lock him up?

Extension w Jordan brand not the Thunder. Don't know how much it was for. Kind of curious.

Only reason relevant is WBs endorsement money is set and won't be affected by where he plays... unless that's in the deal.

For the lakers fans. This trade is about getting a third max player not only p.g. and westbrook. And at the same time fill the roster with young cheap , rookies contract to be rol players. Of course the lakers had a really good chance to sign both players but only with p.g. and westbrook you dont become a contender you need the third max lets said cousin or lebron.

For the thunder. Whst are the odd of kipping both players. No offense but is close to zero. At least with this trade you start with a young prospect, a future first round pick and saving money.

For chicago. I know loosing the pick is huge but look it this way. lets say porter is the number one pick how much better as a prospect can he ne compared to ingram. And thats assuming chicago gets the pick wich i have a hard time seeing a dunn, lavine, ingram, niko, adams line up not figthing dor a play off spot in the weak east

And this is the reason why the biggest signings have been Deng and Mozgov.

Not sure why the Bulls are involved. Something like:

Lakers send clarkson, deng, ingram, lonzo and randle
Thunder send westbrook, george

Huh, because Indiana’s GM was so freaked out about it he dumped George for pennies on the dollar just to get something back in return.

And how’s that Westbrook extension coming along. Won’t sign on the dotted line for 220 Million?

Huh, weird.

End results make some sense, but it's a monstrous leap for all 3 teams. To start, OKC wants to see what they have, or can attract, before they let George and the MVP walk out the door.

That team wins 20 games next year and sends a real high lotto pick out. Hard no.

And if he does sign prior to 10/16 I am assuming that you will at the very least stop assuming that every big name FA will be flocking to the Lakers next year? Anything less would be weird.
