What do you think Aaron Gordon's market value is?
Not in trade, but in free agency. What do you think the market sets his value at? Do you think a team gives him an offer sheet? What do you think it would take for Orlando not to match (or would they match anything)?
If no team gives him an offer sheet, what do you expect Orlando to sign him for?

Re: What do you think Aaron Gordon's market value is?
I think Gordon is among the top restricted FA in this years class however, the price it may take to get Orlando not to match is likely prohibitive. Personally, I think there isn't a price the Magic shouldn't pay for Gordon although they should let the market set his price since I think the max is an overpay (although a worthwhile one for a team who has let too much talent walk already and doesn't have much to show).
The pacers have been mentioned as a popular landing spot although I don't like it unless they deal Sabonis or Turner in another deal since I think Gordon is much stronger as a pf than sf. Jazz is another decent landing spot as far as a team he would fit in well for.
There is always the chance a team like Hawks or Kings could put an offer for him since Gordon is only 22 and is a marketable player with his high flying ability and vastly improved offensive game this year.
I think he gets upwards of 4yr 80 M since Gordon is not only one of top RFA but a top 10 FA and at 22 is much more attractive and available to more teams than older guys who only want to go to contenders.

IMO he is going to get offered the max. And Orlando will match.
I’d love Utah to take a chance on him, especially if they can get under the max like others think or the 4th year a team option or UNG..
As a Dallas fan, I’d assume we are interested out of default.

He's an RFA, so if we assume he's interesting to a new team (which I suspect he will be), then they'll have to overpay to put the Magic in a tough spot on matching.
I'm guessing he signs a $100M 4 year deal with trade kickers and the lot, which the Magic will begrudgingly match and stay in lotto purgatory. Ideally for them he maintains enough value where he's at least still tradeable (ala blake griffin on his bloated deal) if they ever fully wise up and totally pull the plug on that mess.

Someone will overpay with something close to max money, and Orlando will match

He’s gonna get the Max and Orlando is either gonna match or work out a sign and trade.

Re: What do you think Aaron Gordon's market value is?
He will get a Max offer (4/100 million) from someone this summer, which is the price of doing business. He is a 15 million dollar player at present, with much more potential, due to age and the huge improvements he's made on his shooting form. In the Magic's position, it may be hard to match, with the other ridiculous contracts they have, but it's something they have to do.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Start with what's a fair price and then add what these GMs are going to throw on top of it hoping he reaches his full potential cause he's only 22. I think he gets a max thrown his way.

He'll sign a 4 year Max offer sheet with another team and Orlando will match. And then trade him at the trade deadline next season.

Re: What do you think Aaron Gordon's market value is?
Lots of questions about AG and Orlando management will be answered this year.
Does a team really want to tie up a max offer when they know Orlando is going to match? The only way another team will get him is through a sign and trade. Is there any team out there that would offer a top 5 2018 pick and a player in a sign and trade? Does Orlando management see AG playing with Isaac or do they see Isaac as the PF of the future? Would it be worth Letting AG go to get Ayton, Bagley, or Doncic? Can the Magic somehow get 2 of the top 5 to build on with Isaac? Does Orlando max AG and trade Isaac?

Define what "player" means. Does that mean a bad contract or a player that is neutral to positive value?
The other teams (Phoenix, Atlanta, Dallas and Sacramento) in the Orlando area are unlikely to be challenging Houston and Golden State next season, so why would they get in a rush and trade a cost controlled 2018 lottery pick for Gordon with a much higher salary?

Re: What do you think Aaron Gordon's market value is?
I don't see why a team, while actively knowing Orlando will match any offer will tie up so much money. I think Orlando reaches a deal slightly below max dollars.
Give me 22 yr old Gordon on a 4 YR/100M max (what another team can offer him) and his current trajectory over Wiggins and his absurd contract.

Well Porter had proven he was an elite 3 pt shooter prior to that summer and also there were more teams with money to spend. Market isn't only set by "Well he's as good as this player who makes __________ so he should too" but by market demand largely determined by availability of funds.

He was also a year older with one more year of experience. (Gordon missed pretty much his entire rookie year). Porter Jr is the perfect complementary piece while Gordon is much more raw.
The key to me is his shooting, was his shooting at the start of the season somewhat real? If it was I could see a team talking themselves into a huge deal. Long, athletic, shooters are pretty much impossible to find. If that was a fluke and he still can't shoot he becomes way less valuable.
