Edit? Booker is a Pacer? NM.

He is not with Indy. I think we were possibly going to resign him, but were able to grab O'Quinn instead.

Then he’s my best realistic guess.

But I’d keep the MLE in case Cleveland buys out Hill.. Or some such.

But - Okafor.

Booker was such a bad fit in Philly they waived him

He would be a good fit imo. Maybe an vet min deal with with late guarantee dates, so PHI can hit buyout market if an upgrade comes along.

Not at all. Philadelphia basketball isn't that sophisticated and he'd be forced into a Steve Novak type of role. Which he wouldn't be good at.

He shares an agent with Bogdanovic and Skal. So routing him to Kings makes sense.

Heck Covington plays well at the 4 (and even has done so at the 5 situationally)

I think this was definitely Chandler deal fallout, and the depth chart with him looked like there might just be 12-15mpg.

If he is serious playing in Europe then seems like it less about Chandler and more about quitting the NBA. Playing in Europe isn't going to get him prove it deal. He's made 12 million over in the NBA and can go home and be a star.

Yeah, that roster crunch argument looks pretty good right now. :)

I don't like this for the Kings. They effectively will be betting that they are signing him to a deal where he can then be traded for positive value assets later. The flip side is you cut into your prospects minutes and might get stuck with a negative value contract. And even if it works, does the deal get you more than the pair of 2nds selling the cap space would have?

Sucks for Philadelphia fans, but hopefully I can provide clarity for those that are unaware (by paraphrasing Jon Krawcynski).

Nemanja Bjelica gave a verbal agreement to sign the deal, but after discussing it with his wife, decided that he did not want to move his family (six year old daughter, two month old son) to a new city, to then have to move them away after eight months. Because of this, he decided to find a long-term deal in Europe. While doing this, Nemanja Bjelica has received multiple calls from teams, telling him that he should stay in the NBA.

Here is a thread from Minnesota's best reporter from yesterday.
