My Philly Sac deal
Philly out/Sac in: Bayless Holmes
Philly in/Sac out: Kofous
Sac gets a prospect and cuts Bayless (or keeps him).
Philly gets a vet center (I think pf is set as is)

Seems about right but if I'm Sacramento I don't want another big man prospect (Bagley/Skal/Giles/WCS). The wing guys seem to make more sense for both teams if they can agree on value.

I mean, isn't any trade like this kind of waiting on Leonard? If the Sixers are the team going after him, I think that Sacramento will get involved in the trade to help with the salary, right?

Re: My Philly Sac deal
Replacing Holmes with a decent 2nd round pick (return SAC their own 2019 2nd?) seems like a better option. With the Kings glut of bigs I don't see Holmes getting any minutes.

Holmes looked good next to Embiid. A weak side rim protector that dunks everything. He didn't get much time as a PF.
Sixers could use a young backup center, WCS or Labissiere.

Why would someone need to get involved to help with salary?

Holmes can swapped for Luwawu with little difficulty at SAC’s preference.

I guess what I wrote was incorrect. The rumor a number of Kings fans have been running with is that the Spurs don't particularly want Covington, but he would need to be part of this deal for salary purposes. So, the Kings would taken on Covington, maybe throwing in a second rounder. Or, they might take on Bayless in the same trade, allowing the Sixers more roster flexibility (which doesn't make sense to me, given that the Sixers need like a 3 for 1 to get Leonard).

Yeah getting a wing instead of a ANOTHER big makes sense.the_process wrote:loserX wrote:HartfordWhalers wrote:Philly out/Sac in: Bayless Holmes

Koufos for Luwawu-Cabarrot (who has length to play SF) and Bayless (expiring)? Yeah I would be down for that trade. Seems to make sense unless Kings would hope for more back from Koufos.
folks who quote what I wrote get choked

Chandler and Bayless do it fine salarywise. Taking an expiring doesn’t effect SAS — they are between the cap and tax wher Roy has no opportunity cost. So any involvement would be Sas just spending assets to save money while dumping their star player, which would be bad optics and certainly not necessary.

I don't see how they could get more for Koufos. And it might be hard to even get much different as I would expect his market is relatively small. Not meant to be a criticism of him--I think he's a fine backup big and a guy could make some spot starts on Embiid rest nights.

The sixers have no use for Kufos held never see the court. Most likely just get cut.

Re: My Philly Sac deal
I get everyone saying make it TLC, but Im not going to.
Instead send Holmes to team 3 for the best 2nd that can go to Sac.
Lakers? They could really use him at center, and he has no ramifications for next years cap if that is the desired route.

Re: RE: Re: My Philly Sac deal
Koufos for Bayless/2nd works for me. Kings need PG depth and I'm not sold on Frank Mason. Kings save roughly $200K plus add a 2nd to even out their roster. I say yes.HartfordWhalers wrote:I get everyone saying make it TLC, but Im not going to.
