Butler to NYK?
There have obviously been conversations about Butler and Kyrie teaming up in New York next year, but there have been some signs that Butler could be headed East earlier
Obviously not the same as a source like Woj or Shams, but what do you think a feasible package is for Butler from the Knicks?

Re: Butler to NYK?
It's really hard to say from a Knicks perspective.
I wouldn't want to part with any significant asset, let alone impact future cap space.
I do think NY would consider a deal that allowed them to retain a max slot in the summer of 2019.
That would mean the deal would have to include THJ/Courtney
Would something like THJ/Courtney Lee and a 2019 1st rounder be enough?
Will Thibs consider taking on Noah?

Tough to see a fit. Wolves would obviously ask for Knox and I'm not sure how that would go over. Ntilikina+picks+salary relief off Dieng? Dunno.

Put this on the GB.
Any trade needs to maintain Max cap in 2019.
Lee, Hardaway, Frank N., M. Robinson, '19 #1, '20 #2 via CHA
for
Butler, Gibson
Stretch Noah next off-season.
Irving / Burke
Butler / Baker
Knox
Porzingis
Kornet

From a Wolves fan's perspective, the only way I'd trade Jimmy to the Knicks this summer is if Porzingas is on the table: Something like Jimmy/Taj for KP/Lee/Noah. I think there is a significant gap in value between KP and the Knicks' other assets. Of course this changes if the Wolves struggle early in the season and Jimmy indicates he's leaving.

Not saying its not fair but I can't see the Knicks dumping Frank Ntilikina and Mitchell Robinson for 1 season of Jimmy Butler with Porzingis being out..

They are also clearing TJ and Lee creating space for two max FAs next summer. That has to be done, if they want to sign 2 stars. I also can't see Minny settling for less or not finding a better offer if this was downgraded.

That's too much to give up for someone who could potentially end up being a one year rental. Do you think maybe the Knicks should hold out until FA? If Butler's interest is legitimate in NY, I believe you save your assets and try and sign him July 1st. Along with another star.

I think if the Wolves do trade Butler for a lesser package such as this, they won't want to take on long-term salary like Hardaway's contract. I also can't see them trading Taj, without a PF coming back.

They don't have the cap space to sign two maxes currently and then you put yourself in a possible PG13 situation

Thank you! Had me worried for a moment. Trying to trade for Butler would be going against the mantra of player development and hurt the tank.

You don't want to trade anything good but want Butler?
Then throw a garbage deal of THJ/Lee and a crappy 1st for Butler?
Then ask if the Wolves would take on the garbage contract of Noah?
To get value you have to give value and nothing you offered there is valuable.

Re: Butler to NYK?
For sure it's a fake rumors, but................
Twolves trade JB only if they understand that he'll decline theur offer in summer. He and Tibs knows each other very well and have a huge respect. I think JB 'll inform Thibs if he won't stay in Twolves.
NYK untouchible Porzy.
In this way may be i agree for this scenario
Hardway + Ntilinka + Thomas + Knox + 1st round pick OR Lee + Ntilinka + Thomas + Knox + 1st round pick + Baker
for
JB + Dieng
Understood that this trade is 2 steps back in cpmparison with current status of a team, but looks lika an only package which NYK can offer.

Just FYI, that Legion Hoops guy is constantly full of it. He just makes up random rumors all the time.
