Westbrook is actually signed for 5 years (last year player option), which depending on your perspective might not be a good thing

I'm going with Embiid.

Nominate Harden.

Flawed, but more importantly is 30 years old, starting to decline if his advanced stats are to be believed, has a game that wouldn't seem to age well, and has a huge contract that runs through age 34. I'm surprised he was mentioned, tbh.

I am getting very close to the point of not looking at Joel like an injury risk. Maybe I'm just too optimistic but I don't think it's even close between him and anyone that comes next (harden for me probably)

No, if we're counting the guaranteed seasons beyond this season, Lillard has 2 and Westbrook has 3.

I don't get everyone getting shocked at superstars making a lot of money. Of course he has a huge contract. Do Westbrook's peers make mid level? No? Are current rookie scale players going to be affordable when they re-up? No. Not if they are good enough.

Also, 34 isn't that old at all.

There's a good chance Westbrook is opting into his 47 mil contract at 34

34 is not bad for some players, but for Westbrook I am extremely concerned as a slasher with mediocre decision making and 3pt shooting. D Wade had lost quite a bit by 34 (2016 season) and he has far better basketball IQ
