If all he had was two years, it would be a more playable version of the Parsons contract. The 3rd year 27 is what makes it really brutal albatross though.

Vote: Tough decision between Parsons and Batum, but Batum is playable (and might recoup sometime something of his value) therefore I vote for Chandler Parsons.

I already talked about Paul in the last thread, so my next nomination is John Wall, who’s contract is also monumentally bad. Wall has to average $183 mil worth of production over the next 4.7 years, so about $39 mil in production a year through 2023. He’s not getting better, he only has a chance to regress, plus a greater chance for injury over nearly half a decade of basketball games. Even if he averages and maintains $30 mil a year in production, you are still talking over a $45 mil negative contract, and that’s optimistic. And we don’t know about the trade kicker!

We have a lot of bad players to choose from, but the thread is about bad contracts. Good players can be on bad contracts.

Man so many rotten deals out there, gotta be Batum or Parsons. I'll go with Batum due to the length but I'll tell you now Parsons is 2nd.

Nominate: Paul. I'm surprised he's not on the list. He's already under-producing for his salary, and is a 33 year old point with an injury history who's owed a max the next three years.

But see if Minny could trade Wiggins right now for Batum I think they do it so it makes you wonder who really is the worst contract...
