Orlando might be interested in Adams & 21 for Fournier + 46 or future 2nd.. Wonder if a S&T with TRoss could be worked?

Has Adams trade value sunk this low?

I can't imagine it has.

I have no clue and honestly probably a **** offer tbf.. Just was thinking if OKC is definitely looking to move 21 and with West somewhat being wide open now it makes a little sense to look for shooters/wings.

I vaguely remember OKC was in talks for TRoss at the deadline, wonder if a S&T could happen or make any sense.

Is it worth it for the thunder to trade the 21 with Roberson and Patterson? Would they get a trade exemption? Would that help?

If that means unloading contract with pick. The Mavs may interest in something around Schroder and 21st for TE coming from Zinger's trade. Maybe Courtney and Dwight's expiring contracts for Adams as well if OKC is interested. The Mavs might to willing to part with young piece like Brunson, Jackson and perhaps a GSW/HOU 2nd in 2020. If OKC stretch waive both players, then OKC might have a max slot at FA by then.

Even Perkins, Ibaka and KD gets a champion now, OKC owes Westbrook something. Of course, you might argue that Harden's yet to win one, maybe never, though.

They would not get a combined TPE. They would get separate TPE’s for each of Roberson and Patterson equal to their salary plus 100k.

Personally id pull the trigger on Bogdan/Bjelica/40 for Adams/21 but does that really make sense for OKC? I don't really see anything else in OKC that id want.

Id do Bjelica/40 for Roberson/21 if I felt he would at least come back and be the defender he was, but I don't really see OKC moving off Adams.

IMO 21 with one of Schroder/Patterson/Roberson doesn't get Bogdan.

If OKC sees a way to re-sign Noel, then they should jump all over that deal.

I’m starting that Bogdan/Bjelica/40 for Adams/21 a mostly a win-win. I think the value is so close and both teams accomplish what they set out to do. I think that OKC could add a little more, but I wouldn’t be mad if this was the trade. Maybe switch the 40th pick the 47th? I really love this for OKC if Noel is re-signed like you suggested.

How do OKC fans perceive this? If there a favorite trade that they have to accomplish the “win now” idea?

Schroder for Felicio straight up?

I think it is a good idea if OKC can move Schroder for a center or otherwise sign someone. I thought about Dieng and then maybe also signing Noel.

I like Bogdan a lot, his shooting was down last year but he’d still be the best SG OKC has had in a long time. And Bjelica is a great pairing with Grant at the 4.

I’d hate to lose Adams, but this roster has so many holes.

I should elaborate... using the 125% rule, OKC can then trade 21 for a $10 Million player

Is Noel not good enough to be the starting 5 on the team moving forward? (Honest question)

He showed flashes in his time with OKC, but if we’re replacing Adams with another nonshooting center Noel is a huge downgrade. Still prone to fouling, inconsistent, but big on talent. I wouldn’t trust him as the only guy and right now there’s no other center on the roster

This thread is really confusing though. Woj stated OKC is in absolute win now mode, and shopping 21 to upgrade the roster, yet most every offer or thought process is OKC using the 21 simply to dump salary or get worse on the court. Which is it?

Good thing the free agent market has a ton of quality centers this offseason. I think OKC could nab one of the following good fits with the tax MLE if they did the Kings deal:
Taj Gibson
Kyle O’Quinn
Tyson Chandler
Ed Davis
Richaun Holmes
Robin Lopez
Pau Gasol

There are also plenty of minimum priced posts that they could get:
Kosta Koufos
Daniel Theis
Mike Scott
Ekpe Udoh
Joakim Noah

The team can fill the post spots with a committee if need be.

Earlier conversations were all about dumping salary per reporters, later conversations about improving the team after KDs injury, so I think there’s some shifting there.

I was thinking the same thing. Are Ross, Bjelica or Fournier .. or Felicio! ... really “absolute win now moves?”

I understand that the #21 is not much of a trade asset, but I think that means that the Thunder would need to focus on high upside players who have such high risk and/or bad contracts, that they are still within their asset price range.

If there are ideas about win-later moves that address their cap issues, then those should probably be more appropriate for a different thread.

Terrance Ross (S&T) for Schroder+21

Orlando gets a pick and 25-26y.o PG. OKC shaves off a few million from the salary cap (depending on what Ross signs for) and adds shooting.

Orlando passes. We already had a chance to sign Schroder and didnt want to. The #21 in a weak draft wont change that.

Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala for 21, Roberson, Patterson, and Grant.

Why on Earth is Golden State doing that. They're giving up by far the two best players in the deal (though Grant is a good player, just not on Green/Iggy level).
