Nice find late in the FA period. Holiday isn't *great* but he's a rotational wing shooter and Indy waited the market out. (And Aaron is there too!)

Yeah, we’re pretty happy. One of the last guys that may have truly been worth about the room exception on the market, too. Maybe we’ll see Warren more at 4? Or Sumner is another year or two off? Who knows. But we’ve got some nba caliber wings now until Vic comes back.

Brogdon for Jrue at the deadline. Collect them all.

Bucks are signing him, right?

I really wonder what Vince Carter has lined up. I remember how much I detested the way he forced his way out of Toronto 15 (wow .. 15! I’m old) years ago, with half-ass play that alienated Raptor fans. They had to take pennies on the dollar for him, when he was one of the NBA’s biggest stars. However, since then, he seems to have become the voice of maturity. Teams talk about his steady presence, and how he helps the young players adjust to the NBA. Every time I hear him in an interview, a podcast, or at a game, he seems so responsible and likable, that I have changed my opinion.

Anyone know if he’s staying in the NBA as a player, or what he has lined up after he retires?

He said recently that he will be retiring after this upcoming season. I’ll find the link.

He did color commentary for some summer league games and I thought he was fantastic at it

Didn't see a separate thread for this, so...

I love Pau, though I don't know how reliable he is at this stage. Still, once Nurkic is back (and Whiteside already there) Pau can largely ride the bench until the playoffs.

Yeah seems pretty cooked. But he's still a skilled big and can provide some leadership. Not a bad 3rd center for now and maybe they can sprinkle him in short doses if his health holds up.

I really like Pau too. Such an underappreciated player when he was younger. He was hurt first by the Grizzlies not being able to win any playoff games with him--but let's face it they were big underdogs in all those matchups and then of course most Kobe fans tend to be rabid and many of them will undersell Pau to elevate Kobe, but Pau was arguably the best player overall during his stretch with the Lakers. Plus his career running parallel with Dirk's means he never got to be the best Euro in the league. But he's arguably the 2nd best NBA Euro of all-time.

Shame he got to the Spurs once he was pretty much done, because didn't it always seem like he belonged here all along?

That would’ve been really cool, but isn’t AD going to play a good amount of center as well?

just assuming he wont based on his prior comments as a pelican, not wanting to play C due to the physicality i guess

I still have a soft spot for Trey. He obviously never came close to the player Utah hoped when we traded into the top 10 to take him, but he's a good guy who knows his role, and had a nice "oh yeah, that guy! turns out he's not useless!" comeback in New York last year.

And Philly seems to be collecting former Utah PGs so as Jazz fans we approve. Anyone heard from Jacque Vaughn recently?

Don't remember if this was posted when the report first leaked in late May. Know people might not care about a front office hire, but only posting it on this forum because this is the creator of the ESPN Trade Machine.

Jeff Teague had no cap hold in the Trade Machine. I smell a conspiracy!

I heard Kyrie tried to recruit him to the Nets, but now they have no roster spots and only the minimum.
