You don't think MIL is trying to position themselves to bring back Middleton, Brogdon, and Lopez while letting Mirotic walk?

I think they're trying to bring Miroric back too. Lopez on the MLE. But that would probably take Middleton to not get the full max and Brogdon on a backloaded contract.

Repetitive Problem with SAS trade proposals? Some biggies from my POV:

1) Yes, we have good player development and will take on selected reclamation projects. No, we are not paying assets to acquire your busts... If we choose to take on your teams bust, you are paying us.

2) We are not burning it to the ground as a rebuild until Pop leaves, and quite possibly not then. It appears the FO philosophy does not involve tanking.

3) It's all the Spurs system and therefore current SAS players are crap and your garbage will look great for us... Just F* off. We are not going to do a trade that SAS 100% obviously loses.

Start a youth movement (AG Isaac, Bamba, Fultz (if healthy), sign a stop gap C (Birch or other 2 year guy), grab a wing and then continue hope of improvement for 2021 FA chase of landing at least 1 2nd Tier FA.

if Fultz isnt healthy, ORlando doesnt have a plan B at PG for a team that made the playoffs last year. There is still a good chance this team regresses on the court and doesnt make it this year.

Sacramento - tons of cap space. Would love to make a big splash but not likely. Want to find pieces that fit around our existing core. Biggest holes are center and SF, willing to overpay barnes because hes the best 3 we've had in 10 years and fits nicely into our squad. Never wanted wcs back lol.

Kings right now have the worst SF depth in league history.

James who may be out of position here, a second round pick never seeing the floor yet
Troy Williams a RFA

That's all we got baby.

Center much needed too as Rip said.

Which is why I’m totally going after Tyus Jones in FA. I think he could be a MIP candidate if he ever gets out of Minny.

For Minnesota:
Everyone outside of KAT is available for the right price.

We're exploring opportunities to shed salary to go after DLo and are willing to take risks to do so, but calculated risks.

We value the young wings on the team (Okogie and Culver) likely higher than most (especially in Okogie's case).

Rosas is interested in playing 1 guard, 3 wings, and a big, so what may seem like a glut of wings on the roster currently is actually what the FO is envisioning.

Would you move Okogie to move Dieng and get the cap for Russell? I think it's probably that or two picks, which seems like a lot. Especially with Culver on board.

Why not? Is the shooting an issue? Size?

I’ve seen some very solid advanced metrics for Tyus in terms of facilitating and being able to run an offense. Not to mention he’s still what 23?

PER36 usually loves bench players and his PER36 numbers are below average. his DRTG is pretty high. had a negative DBPM. could be a good backup PG, just doesnt seem like some hidden gem starter to me

If the cost to move Dieng is Okogie + lotto protected first and we have a deal in place to move Teague for a second or two, AND we're nearly certain that'll be enough to get DLo, I'd probably be interested . Any more than that I'd probably lean towards no.

Edit: I think a better way to explain how I value Okogie is a late lotto pick, which I would guess is higher than most non-Wolves fans and about in line with a Wolves 2020 unprotected pick.

They are looking for stretch bigmen and veterans that can shoot, using mostly their 31 million in cap space.

Only 2 open roster spots right now, but dairus bertans may be cut.

Knicks - after their meetings and subsequent heartbreak (too nobody’s surprise) they will take expiring contracts for picks/youth .

What do you think of the reports coming out that the Knicks have interest in some of the lower tier stars (Randle, Harris, Vucevic)?

I think every year I hear “the knicks and (half the league) have mutual interest” then they end up with 1 of them out of nowhere.
Robin Lopez
C lee
Jason Smith
Joke Noah
Tyson chandler
Amare

I think it’s over, (atleast overpaying is over).
I could see a 1+1 max deal just to get some leadership on the team though...

Hawks:
Have $13 mil in capspace to take on bad salary for an asset.
Still looking for a C, I'm hoping Dedmon is back, his early bird is ~$9.3 mil.
4 expiring contracts - Evan Turner (18.6), Allen Crabbe (17), Solomon Hill (12.8), Miles Plumlee (12.4). Word is Crabbe may seek a buyout, but with Baze traded he could get time in the rotation. SHill possible buyout candidate.

How do you feel about a Dieng deal? I guess you don’t have enough room to do it outright, but he could be a replacement for Dedmon and come with Okogie and a pick.
