TOR/LAL OG For Kuzma?
LAL In: OG Anunoby
LAL out: Kyle Kuzma
TOR In: Kyle Kuzma
TOR Out: OG Anunoby
Who says no? Is value pretty fair? Should 1 team add a small amount?

Lakers say no. O.G's shooting is about the same and i don't think O.G is ready for a high useage role and we can't really play him at the 4.
I like him a lot but it makes no sense really for either.

No for Raps. OG has a higher ceiling.

OG is basically untouchable for Masai (Unnoe why). I doubt Masai trades him for Kuz. I could see something around Kuz+filler for VV.

Lakers want to keep Kuzma.
Raptors want to keep Anunoby.
They may seem equal but their games are different.
Doubt this trade has any chance of happening - but I've been wrong a couple of times this year.

Lakers should do this imo. Bron is a 4. Green is a SG.
Raptors should not. Siakam is a 4, why trade for a guy at the same position as your best player ?

OG was a bit streaky, but he definitely has potential to be a very good shooter. Under the influence of Kawhi he was starting to drive/dribble a bit more, extending beyond just 3 and D.
Regarding his defense...well, Raptors put him on LeBron during his rookie season, during playoffs, in clutch situations. He's pretty good.
This year he missed a ton of games late due to injury and personal issues (death in the family). If he learns to handle the ball, his ceiling could be PG13-lite.

OG is 22 next week and Kuzma is 24 in two weeks.
With Leonard leaving, the Raptors need somebody interested in playing defense and Kuzma hasn't been that player so far in his career.

Not a reflection of value, but I do think that Kuzma will be a very important piece for LA next season. I think they's probably say no.

Um
He essentially ONLY played 4 this past year

I feel like the Lakers two best players are natural 4s, or at least are happy logging minutes there? And also those guys probably absorb a lot of shot attempts and need low usage players alongside them.
I think maybe Kuz's higher floor and more reliable shooting are what gets the lakers to say no, while OG's ceiling deters the raptors, but the reasons you talk about seem to be good arguments for the Lakers to do this trade. Getting a low-usage wing for a high usage 4 would be a huge win for them in a vacuum.

Can we not pretend like there's some drastic age gap here? The difference between 22 and 24 is borderline irrelevant. They have a similar contract status, although Kuzma makes slightly less. Their value is pretty damn similar. You're trading offense (Kuzma) for defense (OG). I could see either side saying no or yes.

Re: TOR/LAL OG For Kuzma?
I like Kuzma but he's a four and that's what Siakam is. I feel like OG Anunoby has a bigger role here as a big wing defender. The deal is fair bit I feel Toronto values OG more than Kuzma at this point and time

Re: TOR/LAL OG For Kuzma?
The Lakers need Kuzma’s ball handling and playmaking, especially on the 2nd unit or when LeBron is managing his load. I also think that he has a better chance to improve his shooting in the near future between the two. OG is obviously the far better defender and possibly has a higher upside. Maybe I regret this later but I’d keep Kuzma.

Re: TOR/LAL OG For Kuzma?
At some point you have to prove you can be a high-level contributor. Kuzma has done that, OG is mainly potential.

If Kuzma's worst case is a Jamal Crawford for Lou Will type 6MOY, that's pretty damn good for the 27th pick.
Good to know that's what people see as his floor.

Re: TOR/LAL OG For Kuzma?
I’d rather OG. Kuzma just has zero defensive instincts and I’d doubt he is the sort of player Ujiri would be interested in.
