I think the Thunder could ask for more than that if they take on Wiggins AND Dieng AND send out Gallo. Overall would like the fits for both sides though.

Chris Paul was second team All-NBA in 2015-16.
I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Yeah, OKC needs at least another pair of picks or Culver. As bad as Paul's deal is taking on both of Dieng and Wiggins and giving up Gallo needs more.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

I think there's a deal around PPat, Paul for Dieng, Wiggins, and a pair of 1sts with varying protections. Asking for Gallo though gets too greedy.

Re: CP3 to Minny
Wolves weren't really interested in westbrook because of his age, so I cant see them bringing in an older player and having to throw future picks away to do it. Makes no sense.

Re: CP3 to Minny
I think the need for Minny to be adding picks here is overrated. Even Westbrooks contract was considered iffy around the league and OKC got multiple 1sts to trade it for Paul.
IMO something like Wiggins to Charlotte for Batum, with Batum + Teague to OKC and Paul + Fergouson to Minny isn't out of line.
As for Minny trading for Paul when they weren't interested in Westbrook, that might have been not willing to give picks for Westbrook but now Houston gave the picks for Westbrook and Minny is just taking the contract.

Re: CP3 to Minny
If this is the cost for Danilo Gallinari and Chris Paul, Minnesota has to do it.
Chris Paul / Shabazz Napier
Josh Okogie / Jarrett Culver
Robert Covington / Jake Layman
Danilo Gallinari / Keita Bates-Diop
Karl-Anthony Towns / Noah Vonleh / Jordan Bell
Minnesota would have a full max in 2020 to play with if this trade happened, one Top-Ten Protected pick is worth that.

I think it's not realistic without either Okogie or Culver in the deal.

Re: CP3 to Minny
I have to say that I am a little shocked that posters continue to think Chris Paul is a fit in MIN. I’ve tried to come up with a reason for this, and the best I can do is that MIN doesn’t have a great PG, and that Wiggins is a bad contract.
That said, it’s hard for me to think of a worse fit next to KAT than Chris Paul.
1. Age is not a fit. MIN wants every move to be around the 23 year old KAT — Paul is 34.
2. Salary is not a fit. Just because he and Wiggins have bad contracts, doesn’t mean MIN should swap them.
3. Attitude is not a fit - after Jimmy, MIN is not going to bring in another alpha dog who doesn’t want to be there.
4. Team direction is the complete opposite of every move Rosas has made this summer. They added zero vets, and removed every one of their own (Taj, Tolliver, Derrick Rose), and added youth at all five positions.
5. Why do people think they can afford to be throwing away picks, or young players like Okogie or Culver on win-now players?
MIN is unlikely to contend. In the tough West this year, and even if they were, contending for a single season, then carrying more bad salary on a declining player is not the right course for KAT. They need to develop slowly, and resist quick fix trades. KAT is on a five year deal - they need to be starting to peak in year 3, not trade for a guy who will be 36 and making $41 mil that year.

If you believe that vet pgs help a team develop talent, wouldn’t Chris Paul be a really good guy to have for all that youth?

Re: CP3 to Minny
To Wizards: Wiggins + Teague
To OKC: Wall
*Could do a Adams for Mahinmi swap too. If Wizards see Adams as better FA then they might get 2020 offseason.
To Wolves: Paul + Bertrans*
*Wizards must have someone the can help out Wolves that is about that dollar amount.
Bad contract shuffle.
Wizards see what Beal and Wiggins can become. Plus 2020 offseason to recruit a free agent before Beal bolts.
OKC tanks with Wall out and then Presti let’s Wall recover slow and recoup value to be swapped.
Wolves try Paul and shave contract years. If Paul experiment doesn’t work, when his contract is less years he can be moved or bought out to ring chase.

I understand you said All-NBA “level,” but technically, Chris Paul hasn’t been “All NBA” since the 2015-16 season, and I don’t expect him to return to that level for his final three seasons. Both he and Gallo are injury risks as well.

They have one in Teague, which, as you know, I have been saying all along.
And as you also know, I have never said Teague is great. I have said teams without an actual starting point guard may struggle to develop youth who don’t get to learn within a standard NBA offense.

He's still a point GOD, dont discount what playing next to James Harden did to his numbers; probably saved a little wear & tear on his body as well... Also would like to see him and Wiggins on the same team; I think it would either make him or break him

Yeah, I bet competitive Chris Paul would just love playing with care-free Andrew Wiggins! No worries there!
It doesn’t work for team direction, or financially, to have Towns, Wiggins, and Paul’s contracts on the same team.

No more cp3 to Minnesota trades please. The fit is horrible. We dont want him here and he clearly wouldnt want to be here. On top of that we are not by any means trading any of our young players and 100 percent not sending any first round picks out either. Makes 0 sensors for both parties and not happening. We are in a full rebuild not trying to acquire aged veterans for 40 plus mill a year

if thats true we need to trade Covington for Anfernee Simons and then i'll never mention CP3 again, I'm tired of losing year after year with no clear vision of the future
