Paul to Bulls

Post#1 » by rugbyrugger23 » Mon Jul 15, 2019 6:31 pm

OKC Trades:
Paul
Ferguson*
Noel*
*Value-small-contract filler -- most likely where the negotiations start.

FOR

Porter Jr.
Felicio
Dunn
Bulls Trade:

OKC gets out of luxtax and moves Paul for contracts expiring when Adams and Schroder do as well.

Bulls add the vet Paul to roster -- who's contract aligns with all of their other big contracts. He is not a great mentor to White -- but not a bad one. Paul will be injured at times and not need major minutes until playoffs, giving White plenty of PT.

C: WCJ | Markkanen | Noel
F: Markkanen | Thad
F: Committee: Sato, Thad, Ferguson, Hutch and more
G: Lavine | Sato | Valentine
G: Paul | White

Well, that filler salary is where it gets real important for OKC. Can't give up any of the young players, now that we're rebuilding.

Would do:

Paul, Patterson for Porter Jr., Felicio, Dunn

Not sure if you want to do that though.

As a Bulls fan, I want no part of CP3's salary. Given CP3's timeline relative to the rest of the roster, giving up key rotation players like Otto makes little sense. There would have to be 1sts coming the Bulls way to gain any traction on this one.

Sorry, Bulls want NO PART of Paul. He would be a bad fit, and he has a huge deal. There is no OKC-Chic deal, anywhere that I see

I don't see it for the Bulls. Felicio's deal would probably have to be triple the size for them to have the bad salary commensurate for a Paul trade.

Besides the salary, he pushes White out of minutes, despite the all seeing swami seeing Paul being injured which makes him less of a value to the Bulls. It also cuts Satoransky's minutes down to a backup to Lavine he's 6-5 at best he's not a starting 3. And if Valentine returns healthy, and I know nobody seems to ever think a Bulls player can return healthy, he ends up a crisply ironed suit on the bench. Add to that Noel , so what minutes does Kornet end up with after being signed to a multi year deal and Gafford just gets to practice a lot.

Let OKC try and screw somebody else over for their decision to take Paul in a trade

as for the Bulls, no, just NO

I think for CP3 the best trade would be Twolves and OKC
CP3 for Wiggins and Dieng

Paul would be great for Towns and bring out the best in him. Paul/Okogie/Culver/Covington/Towns with Teague, Bell off the bench

OKC would go from 4 yrs of Paul at 38.5 to 4 yrs of Wiggins at 27.5 and can focus on the tank with SGA,Wiggins,Gallinari, Adams and all those draft picks

Bulls Trade:

Negotiations start, and end, almost simultaneously the moment Chris Paul's name is mentioned to John Paxson and the Chicago Bulls. They'd never take his contract, but in the multi-verse where they would, multiple 1sts would be needed to get the valuation correct.
