2020 restricted Free-Agents: Which ones switch teams?

Post#1 » by DowJones » Mon Jul 15, 2019 10:42 pm

As a Cavs fan I am already looking at the 2020 free-agent field to see who we might be able to throw a massive offer at. I imagine the team will target restricted free-agents as they are younger and will fit with the core that Cleveland is trying to develop. The players below are guys I can see the Cavs tossing a max-offer at.

-Brandon Ingram
-Jaylen Brown
-Buddy Hield
-Pascal Siakim

I imagine the current teams of the players above will match any max offer.

What do you guys think about Caris Leveret? If he has a good season this year playing next to Kyrie, would the Nets match a max offer from Cleveland? He is a guy I could see the Cavs really overpaying because they will have so much cap space.

I imagine if you max Brown, he's yours. The rest would probably get matched. I'd assume that you'd get Lavert with a max, as well.

I would love to get Brown. I doubt Boston let’s him walk.

I don’t see why Boston or Brooklyn wouldn’t match big offers. They’ve invested in these guys awhile and wouldn’t really have much usable cap room, or any better targets, if they let them walk.

I like the idea of Cleveland making Boston and Brooklyn matching max offers though.

I’m annoying the few fellow Nugs fans on here because I’m so worried about losing some guys because of having too many big contracts.

- Malik Beasley I think is one of the secrets of the nba. Developed really well and ready to break out when given the opportunity.
- hernangomez is a forward every team In the nba wants
-Torrey Craig- I said Beasley is one of the secrets because I think this guy is th biggest secret.

No way Nugs can pay all these guys and Gary Harris and will Barton. One of these 3 might be perfect targets.

The only one that might change teams is Ingram if he continues to have blood clot issues.

I was going to mention Beasley but I think he is a notch below Levert.

Sabonis and Allen are also likely to receive healthy offers. I can't see Ingram getting a max offer unless his health issue is somehow cleared.

It is highly unlikely that the Cavs will agree with your Kevin Love evaluation for the purpose of a trade.

You guys should move Harris for expirings and a pick and pay Beasley next summer. He's the more dynamic player and there will likely be no shortage of teams interested in Harris.
