Jaylen Brown to Bulls

Sources say Boston doesnt plan to extend to JB.
Is there any way Bulls make a 1 on 1 swap with OPJ for Brown?
S&T 4/100 Brown to Chicago maybe?
Also, I am willing to get Hayward and Brown with no S&T for OPJ, Dunn, Hutch, Val.
Which proposal makes more sense?

Ainge will want some incentive in addition to Porter.
What else is Chicago willing to add?

There is a big difference in not wanting to offer him a full max contract and not resigning him.
Singe refused to include him in any deals including deals for Paul George and Jawhi Leonard......no way he is trading him for Otto Porter

That was 1 and 2 years ago. His value has most definitely taken a hit after losing the cheap years on his contract and having an underwhelming season last year.
I don't think OPJ is right for a variety of reasons, but the situation has changed quite a bit since he declined to add him into deals for those two.

I don t believe that mangement sees him as having had a declining season last year.
1) Hand Injury to start season that lasted over a month)
2) Having role, yet again jerked around
3) Hayward returning
4) Irving effect and lockerroom turmoil
Jaylen, towards the end of season, was one of the most consistent performers on the team.

There is no denying that his value is not what it was at the time of the PG and Kawhi trades. It has certainly taken a hit and, no matter the reasons, his last year was not as good as the year prior.

If Brown is traded the return will be less than most expect. Ainge waited too long and not many teams will want to match his salary demands.

Brown is probably out of potential so it's a gamble to lock him in for 4/$100 when there's no way to know if being traded will get him to step up whatever has been lacking and be that go to guy or just make him put in 4 years and walk away.
To me I don't see BOS needing Porter that bad, if he plays behind Hayward he's an expensive backup 3-4 and with 2 years left and Hayward getting older and even more expensive, needing to resign other guys it would be BOS deciding to really go for a title in those two years or start rebuilding.
If Hayward was healthy and ready to be the player he used to be I could see the Bulls taking him in exchange for Porter, provided saving some money was part of the BOS plan. That saves the Bulls the bother of thinking they could sign a MAX FA next year.

Would much rather have OPJ, who people forget isn’t much older than Brown.
Brown already asking for max money a year before his contract is up without having accomplished anything. No thanks to that.

Lol, Ainge can hold on to another deteriorating asset and lose it in 10 months.

That's just ridiculous. He's 22 years old, was a one and done in college, and didn't see a whole lot of minutes as a rookie because Boston was trying to contend. I find this especially puzzling when you look at the developement of wings, especially ones like Butler or Leonard, who stayed in college. Even Beal, who everyone seems to be all over now, took four seasons to post a ts over 52%. Imguarentee Boston wants to see what he can do this summer now that Boston moved on from a handful of their ball dominant players.

? He's four years older, in basketball that's pretty significant. And where did you read that he was asking for max money?

So what were these big assets Ainge should have traded away at the time and for what? Didn't he miss out big time for not moving Rozier for a highly protected first?

Rather have Otto on his contract than Jaylen, tbh.

For Boston, Porter is not as good a fit as Brown IMO and while Brown's value may be declining in the viewpoint of many it doesn't seem to be declining in Ainge's mind. As far as I can see; I think Boston would rather have Brown and I think Chicago would rather have Porter. Personally, I like both of them.
I seriously doubt Boston even considers the second trade. They would be trading two of the three best players and this is a league built around the best players.

What about something like this instead?
Brown, Kanter, Romeo for LaVine?

So a) the Bulls really like OPJ and consider him a centerpiece of the team going forward and b) Brown is not very good and needs to improve signficantly to be worth his current contract, let alone 5x as much money.

Jaylen, towards the end of season, was one of the most consistent performers on the team.
You can make all the excuses in the world as to why he underperformed last year, but the reality is he underperformed. If you don't want to sell him for pennies on the dollars, but you can't just move the goalposts to reestablish value.
