2 first round pick is not enough if you include Winslow

Miami passes. (Again.)

A + B = B + A or B + A = A + B? (every day a new permutation of the same rotten deal!)

Look. Making the deal worse by taking Winslow too doesn't make it more likely.
Man, it seems like every day the same deal comes up. We don't want Chris Paul and the two (hopefully crappy) FRP aren't going to make the Heat more amenable. One is a sunk cost for signing Dragić who has played well enough for Miami, and the other was for getting rid of Hassan Whiteside. We're ok with those deals and confident we can get good talent anyhow.

You should also consider it will probably cost Miami two FRP to dump Chris Paul's last season, so basically we're just giving up Winslow for nothing. Not good.

Now, if you want to change Miami fans' minds, you need to improve the deal. Exchange the OKC pick for a MIA pick maybe and drop Winslow from the deal.

Otherwise:

Oh, and you have to take Waiters and James Johnson too somehow. If that's not possible, it may be that we can't do a deal, which is a conclusion the teams reached some time ago.

It's like you're trying to rile us up.

Miami fans don't want CP3
OKC won't pay to dump CP3
And its awful for Wolves.

Can't see it as being awful for the Wolves. If I'm Minny I take this without even thinking about a counteroffer. Dumping Wiggins at a cost of only Culver and then getting Winslow thrown in? That's a steal.

This is awesome for the Wolves. If Culver becomes Winslow I'd be pretty happy. Doing that swap and turning Wiggins into expirings is a grand slam.

To me, this is a Cov-Waiters swap short of being fair.

I wouldn't do Wiggins/Covington/Culver for Waiters/Winslow if I were Miami even if I could dump James Johnson too, not with those 2 extra years. But you are right that if I could then move Wiggins/Culver for Paul and my two 1sts back, I'd at least be willing to think about it.

Not to me. Not giving up Winslow in a trade for Paul...

Agree the OP is very good for the wolves. I like culver but dumping wiggins and turning him into Winslow is a huge win. Dont see why Miami does the OP.

Think Wolves bail at the point of swapping Covington for waiters though. Wolves are very unlikely to use Culver or Covington to dump Wiggins.
