Pelicans and Lakers again (with Dallas)

Lakers in Holiday, Melli
Lakers out Green, KCP, Kuzma, 2023 FRP
New Orleans in Lee, KCP, Brunson, Kuzma, LAL 2023 FRP (they delay the 2024 FRP to 2025)
New Orleans out Holiday, Williams, Melli
Dallas in Green, Williams
Dallas out Lee, Brunson
Why Lakers? They get a viable 3rd option, who knows how to play with AD
Why Pelicans? They add two young players and one more FRP from LA
Why Dallas? They add more shooting next to Doncic

I don’t think Kuz has nearly this much value. But if he did - it would probably be to a team that doesn’t have Zion/Ingram starting.

Future Traded Pick Details2021 first round draft pick to New Orleans
L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick to New Orleans protected for selections 8-30 in 2021 and unprotected in 2022 [L.A. Lakers-New Orleans-Washington, 7/6/2019]
If things work out with the LAL 2022 first going to New Orleans, then LAL will need to be in possession of a 2023 first.

Dallas is making out way too well. Also, I doubt KCP signs off on this making it DOA. (He'd be buried by at least 5 other wings)

I like the idea for LAL, but a few things:
1) LAL can't give up 2023 1st I believe. And even if we could, it might be a lot to give up. We could remove/modify an earlier protection to NOLA
2) KCP has a NTC. He isn't taking that to go play in NOLA I would bet. But we could replace him with another salary like THT and Cook or Boogie (cut)
3) I don't see why Pels need Kuzma.
4) I think the mavs get a bargain here, Green for Brunson and expiring basically. Maybe they send NOLA some 2nds
Biggest thing is probably finding a different team for Kuzma. I could see these teams having a use for him: Jazz (send Royce O Neal and a 2nd to NOLA and they get Kuzma), Denver, Hou (dont have much to give up), maybe Raps

The Lakers are definitely the team stealing the most value here. Getting Danny Green for Brunson is definitely a good deal for Dallas, but not nearly as good as getting Jrue for Danny Green and Kuzma. Not even close to as good. If that's the price for Jrue then Dallas would simply cut the Lakers out super fast.

This is awful for the Pelicans. We sell our best two way player for pennies and in the process also decrease the value of the future draft assets we got for AD. For the last time, WE DON'T WANT KUZMA!

This is one of those times I wish we could make similar counter offers to express how off the proposed deal is. Kuzma and a first, years down the road(that you can’t trade anyway) does not equal Jrue Holiday. I get why Holiday in LA, back with AD, makes sense. But the Lakers don’t have the assets to make it happen.
