GSW/MIN/ORL

Post#1 » by Bimbo_Coles » Tue Jun 30, 2020 9:59 am

Warriors Trade:
2020 #1 Pick (Anthony Edwards)
Eric Paschall
Kevon Looney
Iguadala TPE
WCS TPE

Warriors Receive:
2020 #6 pick (Vassell)
Aaron Gordon
Jarrett Culver
Omari Spellman

Why?
Warriors get a young vet in Gordon who can plug into a new death lineup. They move back in the draft, and get a developmental asset in Culver who they can groom into the Livingston role. They get Spellman back to serve as stretch bench big. Warriors would absorb Johnson in the TPE then flip him for Gordon.

Wolves Trade:
2020 #6 Pick (Vassell)
2020 #16 Pick
Jarrett Culver
Omari Spellman
James Johnson

Wolves Receive:
#1 Pick (Edwards)
Eric Paschall

Why?
They get two young starters and a potential 3rd star in Edwards who has two-way potential.

Orlando Trades:
Aaron Gordon

Orlando Receives:
2020 #16 pick
James Johnson (expiring)

Why?
They let Isaac takeover PF spot, and draft a more natural SF on a Rookie contract, to add to their young core.

Since Minnesota made an investment in the trade for Beasley, I have doubts that they are that eager to trade up for Edwards.

I think the Wolves pass on the GS part of the deal and just trade Johnson+#16 for Gordon. There just isn't enough difference between Edwards and the Wolves pick to make this deal all that attractive for Minnesota. Personally, I'd much rather have Culver+Vassell+Gordon than Edwards (basically cutting GS out of the deal).

I kinda hate this deal for GS. Giving up Paschall and the #1 overall pick and the best piece we get back is...Aaron Gordon?

These pieces don't fit well on our roster and the value is bad.

In all fairness, it’s not “giving up the #1 pick,” it is moving back 5 slots in draft.

Warriors seems to have Edwards as their guy. And as other poster said, Wolves don’t seem to be ideal landing spot for Edwards with Beasley and sacrificing another wing in Culver to get him. Do Wolves see Edwards worth a 2 for 1? (Kind of a 3 for one being they trade their FRP too).

Wolves need to do a consolidation trade, I just don’t think this is it.

Prefer Paschall and Looney over Gordon due to salary. Culver not the value of dropping down

This is actually good value for GSW (a rarity on these boards) but the fit is questionable.

Orlando passes.

We have #15 and Okeke incoming as rooks.

We will not be brining in (4) rookies.
PM me if you can help a brotha finally get an AVI.

ORL not looking to dump AG's contract for expiring and the pick isn't enough, IMO...expiring deals aren't the desired outcome right now in ORL, more likely to consolidate for an upgrade or just keep trying to find the right fits with our young, versatile, developing roster.
