I've got Sunshine on a Magic day....

I - guess, you said, what - can - make - me - feel this way? My trade, my trade, my trade! Talkin' bout my trade.... my trade!

PHX gets: Aaron Gordon, Terence Ross, #16

ORL gets: Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, #10

Why PHX? Oubre wants to get paid and PHX already showed their hesitancy the last time the 2 met at the contract table. If there is any hesitancy on the Suns part to continue to meet his demands, then it would behoove them to use him as a trade asset. Aaron Gordon fills a need at PF and is the same age (24) and already locked into a contract friendly deal that decreases over time and Ross' deal at $12.5M is simply golden for the amount he contributes. Gordon will feel at home heading back to the place where he played his college ball on a young team where he can step out of Vucevic and Fournier's long casting shadow. ORL is giving up more long term security (in terms of contract years) and knows they can pursue Oubre outright as he enters UFA in '21 so the swap of picks is a requirement. PHX is willing to move down a few spots as the PG prospects in that range include Maledon, Hampton, Lewis, Mannion, Terry, Ramsey, etc and rebalance their roster.

PG Draft / SG Booker / SF Bridges / PF Gordon / C Ayton / 6th Ross

Why ORL? Where there is smoke, there's fire. Front office has already stated their interest in Oubre and his 7'3 wingspan. This would be another move that forms the team in their image and away from the previous regime's players. Magic will have 1 season to gauge him in their system before paying up ($20M+ per). DJ Augustin is a FA this summer so Rubio would slot in nicely. He may be able to show Markelle how to make a long NBA career despite not having a great 3pt shot. By moving up in the draft the Magic can target someone like Okoro, Vassell, Nesmith, Hampton, etc and rebalance their roster.

PG Fultz / SG Fournier / SF Oubre / PF Isaac / C Vucevic / 6th Rubio
Jett Howard, Franz Wagner, Paolo Banchero, Jonathan Isaac, Wendell Carter Jr
Anthony Black, Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, Joe Ingles, Chuma Okeke, Mo Wagner, Goga Bitadze LESSSGOOO!!!

Seems silly for phoenix. Not sure why they would give up their pretty good starting PG for a back up SG. Gordon for Oubre, or Gordon for 10, seem pretty close.

This. No need to overpay or over complicate.

Gordon for 10. Orlando needs to start drafting higher.

Yeah, Phoenix should still probably draft a PG, but trading Rubio for a backup wing and PF feels like taking a step back.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.
