trade 1:
GSW trade TPE + future 2nd(s) and/or cash for choice of expiring salary filler (Gay, Portis etc)
trade 2:
Memphis trades: Clarke, Utah 2021 1st
Memphis receives: 2nd overall
GSW trades: 2nd overall, filler from trade 1
GSW receives: Myles Turner
Indiana trades: Turner
Indiana receives: Clarke, Utah 2021 1st, filler from trade 1 (i like gay personally)
Why for Indiana: saves money long term and get a good PF fit next to sabonis as well as a 1st
Why for Memphis: try to get another young player with star potential
Why for GSW: get ideal center for their team

I like it for Indy. Can Dieng fit into the GSW TPE
Then it will be Dieng, Clarke and the utah 1st.

I figure indy prefer a PF because they have 2 centers already

I can see Myers doing this for GS. Depends on how much GS like Wiseman though, if he becomes available at the #2. I can see it happening though.

Memphis doesn't seem like they should be included, IMO, just send 2 directly.

They can just sign or trade someone. I'd rather have the 2nd pick in this draft than what will likely be a late first, and a player who - while pretty good - isn't going to ever be a star. I hate this draft, but I think you are better rolling the dice. I'd just draft Okoro here and see what happens. Trade Oladipo for a power forward if he really wants to be moved and shift Okoro to the 2.

GS TPE is 17.18m, Dieng is set to make 17.2m

I would do this in a heartbeat. We would still have Wiggins and our 1st from Minny.
Steph/vet.min/Poole
Klay/Lee/Mulder
Wiggins/MLE
Draymond/Paschall/Smailagic
Turner/Chriss/Looney

The Utah pick only conveys in 2021 if it lands in the 8-14 range, Memphis has protection on it being a mid to late first knowing Gobert & Ingles are set to be free agents in 2022 where the pick is top 6 protected, top 3 in 2023.
A lot can happen between now & 2022 but with some luck that pick could have value.

I imagine we will be retaining Gobert. If he won't sign an extension, we will find a trade for him before we get to 2022.

I don't doubt that your front office will do what they can & I wouldn't bet against Mitchell but it's clear Memphis targeted a point in which Utah could be in disarray.

It is. I insisted at the time the second pick was too much. I understood why we didn't and did not protest too much, but it's clear that was a bad trade, even with how good Conley was in the playoffs.

The early exit is what made it a bad trade. Otherwise its the type risk worth taking..
The inclusion of the 2nd pick wouldn't have been too bad if the stipulation in 21 didn't protect the pick mid to late lotto ensuring Memphis either get a 8-14 pick or to a point where Utah have to find solutions for both Gobert & Ingles hitting free agency.

No way you can play Wiggins-Draymond-Turner together. They're all pretty average shooters.

We definitely can. Turner would be our best starting shooting center during this dynasty. He may not close games for us though since Draymond usually does that. But as a starting center, he'd be awesome.

Sure turner would be your best shooting center (by a small margin) but wiggins would be your worst shooting starting sf (by a large margin)
I would expect GSW to want a wing more than a center.

If there is a trade to be made where we can significantly upgrade our small forward position, then of course. At the moment, there isn't. So if the FO is not happy with any of the prospects in the draft, then using that pick to get a starting center is not a bad deal. But like I said, the reason I like the deal is because it let's us keep a player that plays a position of need, Wiggins, while leaving us the Minny pick. I'd roll with a starting roster of Steph/Klay/Wiggins/Draymond/Turner while bolstering the bench using the MLE, etc. That's a good team.

We started Steph/Klay/Iguodala/Green/Bogut the first two games of the WCF last year. We closed out Portland with a starting lineup of Steph/Klay/McKinnie/Green/Bell. We've gotten away with lineups with way worse spacing in the past than Steph/Klay/Wiggins/Green/Turner. Of course, I'd prefer to not just get away with throwing out lineups with bad spacing, but our starting lineup in this proposed trade would be fine.
