Hawks shopping 6, who is looking to tear it down?

The Hawks are reportedly shopping #6 and though its not #1 or #2, they have the advantage of absorbing cap space without flinching. I am going to say they are set at PG Trae, PF Collins, and Center Capela.

What team has a SG or SF they want to move? Keep in mind the Hawks have 43 million in cap space so it can be two players; maybe one bad contract and one good contract. My favorites right now are the Kings and possibly the Bulls. Any thoughts from others?

What about 6 + Hunter for Smart + 26 + 30?

The Hawks added a solid defender in Capela but he is lacking on the offensive end. I think they are looking for someone who can generate points. I love Smart for his defense; but think they want more scoring from the the starting shooting guard or small forward they trade 6 for.

6 for 11 and Derozan?

SA moves up a tier, sheds salary, gets a big TPE.
Atlanta still keeps a good pick, and gives them a good vet to play alongside their youth,

I do like DeRozan for instant offense.

I almost proposed a Kennard/Rose/Hawks trade earlier today. I don't think that gets Detroit 6; but I like the combo a lot.

Buddy Hield makes some sense. He is a more active defender than he is given credit for as well. He isn't bad at all on that end.

I like the Derozan idea. He would help immediately.

Both of them would be incredible value for the Blazers - of the "cant say no" variety, probably even with #16.

GTJ would be a no-brainer, CJ would probably require some deliberation if flexibility and a pick can actually improve our team on Lillard's timeline. A confident GM would probably still pull the trigger, but its a risk because Portland is not looking to tear it down and a bad pick or wasted opportunity could have Lillard looking elsewhere.

Couldn't they just sign him outright in FA? All he has to do is opt out and hes theirs if they are willing to pay him I would imagine.

This is the kind of deal, I think Atlanta is looking for. I don't think they want to move out of the draft entirely.

Yep they would definitely work something out with his agent if they could. Problem would be if he didn't want to play there, but assuming they made it worth his while he surely just takes the money. It's not like contenders are pursuing him at this point.

Hawks say opt out and we'll give you 2/$50M. He goes for that almost certainly.

They need both. The addition of Capela helps immensely. Also most Hawks fan see Reddish as the SG next to Trae, despite his offensive struggles, his defense was surprisingly good for a rookie.

Its both; they only won 20 games. The Hawks were 25th in offensive rating and 28th in defensive rating. The D should improve with Capela but he did not play a game.
