HOU/PHI/ATL (Harden to Philly)

Post#1 » by myrak433 » Wed Nov 4, 2020 4:39 am

Sixers could be pushing for Harden. Could Atlanta get in on this?

Hou out: Harden and Covington
Hou in: Simmons, Hawks 1st 2020 (6th) Sixers 2020 1st ( 21 st), Sixers future 1st, and Horford.

Sixers out: Simmons, Horford, Richarson, 2020 1st , 2020 2nd, and future 1st.
Sixers in: Harden

ATL out: 6th pick
ATL IN: Covington, Richarson, Sixers 2020 2nd round (34th)

Assuming harden wants out, I don’t hate it for Houston is as I doubt they get a better offer but I’m sure we will hear plenty about how horford is the worst contract on the planet.

I also think Atlanta should easily take it. That really solidified their starting 5 and gives them a chance to make the playoffs next season.

For the sixers, it is a lot to give up but they should do whatever they can to pair harden and embiid together and figure the rest out later as that is the best duo in the east.

Overall solid proposal, nice work.

I dont see houston taking back horford too without sending out westbrook. Simmons/Westbrook/Horford/Gordon would take up all the cap and give them zero flexibility moving forward.

Come on man.
The 6th pick in a bad draft will never return 2 nba starters.
I thought trades where supposed to benifit all teams not just 1

So you think Philly could get a better trade for Simmons?

Any Harden to Philly trade starts with Embiid to Houston.
Doubtful that Covington would be included.
More likely Westbrook/Gordon.

All that said, the only way Harden will get traded is if he demands a trade.
At that point, Philly might not make the best offer.

I hear you but if I am Philly I am not even entertaining any trade for Embiid (26 years old) for and over 30 year old player.

I think the better question is "are the Sixers trading Simmons" (likely, a no) rather then what's the best deal they could currently get for him.

If you listed to Morey talk about Embiid, you wouldn't say that. And there's no reason to believe that Houston would be able to tack on bad/terrible money in addition.

If there's a trade with the Sixers - and it's very possible there isn't - it's around Simmons+.

I agree with you. Will Philly trade Simmons? I would think not. But reports are out that they are interested in Harden. So one of Simmons or Embiid would have to be moved. My guess is that Simmons would be moved over Embiid. We saw how good Harden was with Capela. How good would he be with a far superior player in Embiid?

Hou out: Harden and Covington
Hou in: Simmons, Horford, Hawks 1st 2020 (6th), Sixers 2020 2nd round (34th), Sixers 2020 1st ( 21 st), Sixers future 1st,

Sixers out: Simmons, Horford, Richarson, 2020 1st , 2020 2nd, and future 1st.
Sixers in: Harden, OKC 2022 Protected 1st

ATL out: 6th pick, OKC 2022 Protected 1st
ATL IN: Covington, Richarson

I sent the Sixers 2nd to Houston and added in the OKC 1st from Atlanta and sent that to the 76ers. Only issue I see for Atlanta is Richardson is due to get paid the same season Collins does. Despite the hype about Richardson, his best TS% was a very average .551 back in 2017/18. I get he is a good player but he may not be worth what some crazed GM is willing to give him in 2021.
