I think the Thunder are hoping to flip Danny for some small additional value, but a late first and expiring salary feels right to me. It'll be interesting to see if they do something with Kuzma or not. Matching salary will be tough moving forward.

Remember, they didn't have Avery Bradley for the Finals run. Assuming they can bring him back, that replaces Green in the rotation - assume Bradley and KCP start with Schroeder and Carusso getting backup guard minutes off the bench. They also have a young guard prospect in Talen Horton-Tucker.

From a Lakers standpoint I would prefer to do the deal without Green, but not sure there is another path money wise without including Kuzma. And you keep Kuzma over Green if you have the choice.

If I'm Atlanta, I just offer to eat the salary. I don't think I'd toss in the OKC 1st even though it will end up as 2nds.

I think hawks having a lot of cap room gives them a reason not to send an expiring for DG. Get a vet via FA on a large one year deal.
