Because HW demanded it...your take?

Second To None - Bucks win. They desperately need cheap depth, and they gave up a likely pittance.

12%
Second Place - Magic win. This draft isn't *that* exciting, and picking up a 2nd when Milwaukee may be post-Giannis is always a good gamble.
6
24%
Split Second - both teams win. Bucks need depth now, Magic can wait.

48%
On Second thought... - both teams lose. Typically noncommittal by Orlando, and #45 isn't going to give Milwaukee anything more worthwhile than a street FA.

Milwaukee does own two future 2nds from Indiana (2022 and 2025). Will be curious to see if either/both are involved because there's a fairly good chance that future Milwaukee 2nds will be in the 59-60 range and almost worthless.

And for more flavor:
Read on Twitter

Nets 2nd:
2021 second round draft pick from Indiana
Indiana's 2nd round pick to Brooklyn protected for selections 45-60 in 2021 and 45-60 in 2022 and unprotected in 2023 [Brooklyn-Indiana, 7/7/2016]

Now Orlando's 2nd:
2022 second round draft pick from Indiana
One year after Indiana conveys a 2nd round pick to Brooklyn, Indiana will convey its 2nd round pick to Milwaukee (this pick will therefore convey in 2022, 2023 or 2024) [Indiana-Milwaukee, 7/6/2019]

I like this for Mil, it's good bench depth in this 2nd round.

MIL seems sure to take a college senior at 45 here that can step in and play.

Bucks are super all in. This is clearly just a move to effectively fill out their roster after trading numerous players for just a few.

Good time to be a Bucks second rounder- good odds of making the team.

Absolute love this for Orlando. A 2nd in '26 could be anywhere, and Indy's pick is either in '24 or earlier only if it is a year after Indy misses the playoffs and has started declining most likely.

This is pushing those assets to when Orlando should need them, assuming they start a rebuild nowish. Absolutely love it, and value seems solid.

Also for Milwaukee they are hard capped and need this pick now. I have this a huge win for both, for a miniscule trade.

Do we have any sense of what a hard cap will look like for MIL (or how much they have to work with)? Or do we need to wait on the Bogdan number for that? Also, could MIL resign some guys and then execute the SnT with SAC?

This was kind of expected, Orlando has Okeke and the #15 incoming this season and just from a player development standpoint it makes a lot of sense. Orlando still has young developing players in Fultz, Bamba etc. that still require a lot of attention so I get it.

I'm more annoyed with how unimaginative Weltman is by helping his prior club, probably did this deal on the toilet.

As others have mentioned, Bogdanovic is likely BYC so whatever his number is, it's going to be in a very small window for the trade to work as constructed.

They can't go over the hard cap and receive an S&T player no matter which order they do it in, if that's what you mean.

I do agree but the key word is nowish. Just doesn't feel like the ORL front office is thinking rebuild at this point and should be swinging with their picks until they make that decision. I like a few of the players that may be in the 45 range and feel they could have filled in a few gaps for the Magic (Cassius Stanley, Udoka Azubuike, Cassius Winston, Tre Jones). Maybe they have made the decision and I will be surprised tonight (fingers crossed).

Jay Scrubb should be on the board around then and he'd be a great fit on the Bucks. A microwave off the bench that fits.

It's becoming a tradition with the Magic to get off of second round picks for what the third time in the offseason? As for the picks, hopefully these assets will turn into something more beneficial in the near future.

Any 22-23 year olds that can shoot that could be available at 45?
still learning the game
