I'm waiting to see the pick, but I'm guessing like a lottery protected 2021 1st or something from Denver.

With Harris's confidence issues and Morris expiring next summer this pick makes a ton of sense for the Nuggets. Hampton has a lot of work to do, but he has great upside especially for a pick at 24. Fits right in with what has worked for us over the last 7 years since Connelly got here.

If the pick is lottery protected from 23 -26, that means the Nuggets can still deal a 2021 or a 2022 selection.

Not a '22. As it could be a '22 and then a '23, and violate Stepien.

Theoretically, it means they could deal a 2021, but it cannot roll over on any way to 2022, on the off chance that Denver has to convey that pick in 2023. So, either no protection on a 2021 pick, or the condition that if it doesn’t convey in 2021, debit is extinguished or converted to seconds or something.
