Three-way trade: your take?

Bane of My Existence: Memphis wins, getting the shooter they wanted and not having to take on another centre.

23%
Super Mario Bothers: Portland wins, trading a guy with no role (and who annoyed fans) for an expiring C who played well there before.
5
19%
Flex Offence: Boston wins, continuing to dump unwanted salary more more flexibility (and pick up future 2nds).

Kant believe it!: everyone wins. Memphis got their guy, Portland gained value painlessly, and Boston saves cash and some opportunities.

Desmond Bane is a very good pick. I wanted him for the Mavs.

Couldn’t add three more guaranteed young salaries. No roster spots.

I like the pick but I hope it wasn't a 1st. 2nds cash...sure.

That could be part of it. The details are unclear. Smitty is looking into it.

The way this guy nails down 3pts is ridiculous, though not as much as his rebounding stats given his shortest ever wingspan. Our freak.

I still remember getting burned by the Dayonta Davis trade - which looked great at the time - so I'm not going to get too excited. The new FO seems better than the old one at scouting, and I like going back to the senior-with-poor-wingspan well after our success with Clarke.

Depending on the structure of the compensation it's meh at worst, but it does feel a bit like one of those trades where a FO just doesn't like missing out on all the excitement and talks themselves into someone, anyone...

Do not remind me of Deyonta Davis. I still can't getthe image of that "deer caught up in the headlights" look out of my head. That's when I knew the guy was an all out bust. :nonono:

So did we ever get confirmation on the return here?

the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.

It has not been filed with the league office yet, likley to include Memphis taking the contract of either Pioer or Kanter

Yeah, I acknowledge he's a guy with a whole name who actually exists; I was just hoping for like a scouting report or something without having to make the effort to fire up google, if you're feeling generous.

a big who is so useful that the Celtics want to salary dump him. He's essentially bad salary.

I heard someone raving about him. I want to say it was Nate Duncan. Was basically saying he is a raw toolsy big and if put on a say Charlotte, might actually look good slowly learning team defense. I would take that with the grain of salt that comes with every raw kid who is salary dumped. Except Zhaire Smith. He would be awesome on Memphis.
