Lol and it continues. Not getting a 1st out of Gallo has to be eating Presti up inside.

Didn’t NO have Bird Rights on Favors? Feels like they could have just made him a big one year offer over moving a pick for Adams.

Definitely a Pelicans fan now. Losing Adams hurts. One of the all time most beloved Thunder players. But such is a rebuild.

What an offseason by Presti.

The guy must have a big ass brain to process all the **** going on. He's doing A LOT.

Yes. And all their winning when Zion came back sure pointed to Favors far more than Zion. He was good for them. I mean Adams is a great character guy to lead a locker room in ways quiet Favors isn't. But that's not worth giving up a first with JJ still there.

No, the future first that Denver traded to get Hampton is the pick going to OKC as I understand it.

How is NO taking on Adams salary? What money is heading to OKC?

Got to be Bledsoe. But will probably also be Redick who Presti will get another first for because....

I think this is an underrated point. JJ Redick has said multiple times on his podcast that the Pelicans are the quietest team he's ever been on. And while I like Favors the player, I think the Pelicans can benefit from having a more vocal veteran. I think it's telling that the Pelicans could have payed Favors more money and given him a starting job, but he left.

Now is Adams worth a first considering you could overpay a comparable player in the current free agency market? In a vacuum, I don't think he is at that salary, but if it can help the team develop, and if Adams was their most realistic option of getting a center to play there, then I think it could be worth it. The Pelicans have plenty of picks in the pipeline and have a ton of young players to develop.

I don't care what analytics say about Favors playing w/ Williamson, he looked so bad at times last seaosn

If it's Redick i would be pissed, but im pretty sure its not.
Probably Bledsoe, Miller and NAW: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y2euzvpw

I would rather lose NAW and his potential since we drafted another PG than veteran Redick who can help young guys develop.
I like this for NO, we get rid of Bledsoe contract for one year of Steven Adams who is also a veteran and can be a mentor for Hayes and Zion. Everyone says he is great locker room guy and i think that will help this team a lot.
Also his defense and shot blocking will be helpfull even though he is clogging the paing for Zion.

Love this for the Pelicans. Wonder if Adams kept working on that 3 point shot he flashed last summer league.
