The only reason I can see something like this is if it prevents the Pistons from having to stretch Dedmon and the Hornets from having to stretch Batum. Rozier is also probably not needed with Graham and Ball on the roster. The Pistons might have to make another deal or waive a player.
Hornets in: Blake Griffin, Musa, and Dedmon
Pistons in: Rosier, Miles Bridges, Batum and Monk.

good try sneaking Monk and Bridges into this. Pistons fans have been ok just dumping Griffin for just Rozier and Nic

The concept of Griffin to the Hornets is interesting, but more in a salary dump than anything else.
Hayward/Griffin, if healthy, should be a playoff team in the East.

I actually really like the offensive dynamic of Blake and PJ Washington at PF and C surrounded by playmakers (Graham, Hayward, and Ball/Monk). The Hornets are going to get slaughtered defensively no matter what, might as well double down on offense if that's what we're going with. I'd love to do it, but not giving up Bridges or Monk or picks to go for it. It's a win win for both sides.

Miles and Monk are overpays for taking on Griffin's contract
Charlotte should be trying to get Griffin though

Not getting Miles and/or Monk. What happened to Griffin? I thought he went to the Nuggets.

I’d do the deal with Monk or Bridges as a Piston fan. Bad part is that both Batum and Dedmon were stretched to over pay for Hayward and Grant respectively.

Re: Hornets-Pistons (Griffin and Batum) trade idea
Blake Griffin for Rozier + Zeller works in the trade machine. Charlotte would take on a little more salary though in the trade. I think Detroit would welcome Rozier as they are weak at guard. We'd probably end up waiving or flipping Zeller though. Pistons have enough centers.
