Raps should send Johnson and another 2nd for McGee.

I think the Cavs plan on keeping McGee. They need a legit backup center now.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Per Shams...Gasol has agreed to a deal with the Lakers.

Is McKinnie any useful? He looks to have the size for a big wing.

Supposedly a good defender, but terrible offense, so he's kinda the designated defender that other teams will ignore when Lakers are on offense.

Jordan Bell got stretched waived, i think he only had 600k guaranteed

I was talking to friends trying to figure out what was going on and why the Lakers didnt just trade McGee to NYK + SRP + cash if need be, to purge him off the cap, as the team is pretty close to the hard cap. The main objective should be to try to give Kieff a raise from his vet min, which the team couldnt do due to being on the precipice of the hard cap. Purging McGee's salary would've solved that easily enough. The only logical explanation is that the Lakers like what they see in McKinnie, save almost 2mil off the cap and thus can let the team either give Kieff a raise bringing the roster to 14, or signing two vet mins, its one or the other at this moment in time.
