I like Luke Kennard, but that is a sizeable payday.

What in the hell? Seems like an awful lot of money for this man.

I think this will be a bargain in a few years

I'm not seeing it.

It's a $56 mil deal since Kennard won't meet the $8 mil incentives likely based on games played.

I like him too, but yikes that is a lot. His knees must look a lot better than we were led to believe.

Detroit wet the bed with him if his knees hold up. He's a legitimate problem in 2020 with his shooting.

That was West ripping off Detroit again. LAC so concerned about Kennard's knees that they needed four second rounders to assuage their concerns and mitigate the risk. And then weeks later they give Luke and his knees $64M.

I mean West signed a 31 year old Marcus Morris to a backend loaded $65M deal as well, so maybe.

Do we know it’s games played? Or sheer numbers? Could just be percentage based, as the initial reporting tweets have referred to his potential incentives as achievable.

I don't know Scootie McGroot just throwing shade at the Clippers.

Stats wise he is not far off from Bogi. Now he is not far off contract wise.

Looks like they didn't want him to get a big RFA offer...however, still an overpay imo. I would've done 4/48.

This deal makes me feel better about Beasley's contract with the Wolves.

Clippers really like him. 16 million per for a 3 and no D. For four years! Man there will be some overpays in the next free agent class. Oladipo gets the max no doubt. Yikes.

Want to add that I like Kennard as a playmaker.

4 years, $52 million would have been more realistic but $56 guaranteed over 4 years seems close enough. Whats another $1 million per annum.....

Maybe they think he can be Kawhi's point guard

Everyone is just scared of the offers Memphis could throw out next year plus the appeal of playing with Ja. First we take Anderson, then Tyus. Their RFA could be next! So better to just lock them all up now for a little extra incentive.
