Dipo to Dallas when the dust settles

Post#1 » by Pinkyring » Wed Jan 13, 2021 10:24 pm

Houston in
Josh Richardson
Jalen Brunson
Boban marjanovic

Mavs in
Victor Oladipo

Idk Houston's direction, this clears them some salary as well as they get a 2 guard that's easier to retain this summer as well as a cheap backup pg.

Mavs make this move hoping dipo can be their 3rd guy as well as getting his bird rights and a chance to look at him before making a long term commitment

Doesn't make any sense for Houston. They'd at least want pick compensation to make such a downgrade.

I think it doesn't make sense for Dallas. The market has spoken, and the value of Oladipo is Caris Lavert. J Rich and Brunson are more valuable than that

I think the Rockets are going to want to see how good they are with a Dipo/Wall backcourt.

I would think Levert is worth more than JRich/Brunson. JRich just went for Seth Curry with a good second attached to him. Disregard the value difference of that 2nd from Brunson, and we’re saying that Seth Curry is more valuable than Levert?

Seems wild to pair up two DMV guys, and not with the Wizards....

Id say Richardson/Johnson/Josh Green/Brunson is more fair.

I actually don’t want them to make a trade. They’re playing great ball, on offense and defense. They also are rebounding well and have great chemistry. I’d rather let this current team play it out and see how far they go.

He was my trade target for them and I’d still do it. Let THJ go and permanently move Luka to the 3. Two defensive guys up front and KP Kleber and even WCS to defend the rim. Make up for lack of wing defenders with very good strength in other defensive areas

In a snt to a good number, I dont think oladipo is worth more then 15m, I would go as far as powell and a lotto prot 25. But dont mind if we just stay as we are, top team on defense and not bad offense, and just let them gel some more.

Dipo is not a max player, everyone knows that. Hence why Indy, the team that knows him best, traded him for an overpaid Caris LeVert. I'd much rather have J-Rich than Dipo all things considering (biggest being Dipo's injury and contract demand)
