The easiest solution is to wait until Biyombo is eligible and include him, although that takes another C off the bench for Charlotte.

In a 3-for-1 deal Cleveland is going to have to cut guys anyway, so if they cut McGee maybe Charlotte just tries to sign him :dontknow:

More than likely it would be Biyombo being cut right away. Maybe even see if Zeller would take a buyout.

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. You have to have enough vacant roster spots to take the incoming players even if you don't want to keep them. So you have to make the cuts first, then the trade.

There are players like Dean Wade, Lamar Stevens, etc at the very end of the bench that would likely be cut first that wouldn't get picked up off of waivers.

See, and this is important, the Cavs can just let him play out the season and realize cap space. So if we're eating future money, there has to be some value added. I might consider Barnes and Bagley for Drummond.

With Prince’s salary and Allen’s cap hold, Cleveland currently projects to max out at around $8.27m in cap space. They project to operate over the cap and have MLE.

A few other teams could use him (Clippers, Wizards) but can't match salary for a variety of reasons. Other teams simply won't want to pay $28M for a centre because they already have one better.

I can't seem to get anything to work cap wise for Charlotte either. Zeller/Monk still leaves them $3m short.

Knicks?

Don't we have the cap space to absorb 9 million to make it even?

Looks like you're $2.7m short if it's Zeller/Monk. Would have to be 4/1 or wait until Biz can be moved. I may be wrong though.

Charlotte would probably be the best fit cause they have Melo and they could make a good P&R duo

Since you have Melo what's going on with Rozier then?

Throw him in the package for Dre, or is he too good now?

Would have to gut the whole team to match salary for Drummond. It's not happening. And Rozier is not going anywhere. Also Cavs are loaded with guards.

I would look to have Rozier routed to a 3rd team if a trade would to happen with the 3rd team adding value to Cleveland. But I wasn't sure how much of a role/value he was adding to Charlotte to make any such suggestion.

We need Rozier more than we need Drummond.

Which is cool, I just don't know your team like I know the Cavs so thanks for the response.

For what though? Outside of trading Lowry or Siakam they would struggle quite a bit to match salaries, which then of course Lowry would need to go to a 3rd team while I don't know if the Cavs have the right assets needed to get Siakam.

Have better centers: ATL, CLE, DEN, DAL, GSW, IND, HOU, LAL, LAC, MIA, MIN, MEM, NOP, NYK, ORL, POR, PHX, PHI, UTA, TOR
Wrong direction: DET, CHI, SAS
Not a stylistic fit: BOS
Maybe? BRK, CHA, WAS

Brooklyn: don't have salaries to match
Charlotte: Zeller + Monk + Biyombo?
Washington: don't have salaries to match

I think it is Charlotte or no one.

I thought Baynes but I have not watched Toronto play but part of a game this year...so, yah, I guess they could make sense based on his stats.

Baynes has not been good at all this year, nor has he ever been better than Drummond, though their back-up Boucher is having a good year he's still coming off the bench and only playing 22 mpg. Drummond is definitely a good option for Toronto but hte problem is the only close to matching salaries would be Lowry and Siakam. Lowry would need routed to a 3rd team while the Cavs don't have the viably tradeable assets to get Siakam.

Baynes was, imo, better that Drummond when he was in Phoenix (but not significantly so). They were both roughly neutral to slightly positive impact players, which is fine, but it looks like Baynes is toast.

This is a very subjective list. If you're factoring money, okay. Otherwise, I'm skeptical. Some of these teams don't even have a true center in terms of matching up against guys like Embiid or Towns. Some of these teams are playing skill guys at center who could easily slide over to PF.

Anyway, it's probably the Bulls, Hornets, or he plays out the season and signs elsewhere next summer.
It is highly unlikely that the Cavs will agree with your Kevin Love evaluation for the purpose of a trade.
