Seems like it could happen quickly with Rose and the Pistons agreeing and Thibs in NYC wanting it. NYK have the Pistons SRP this year from a round about way, I think that would be the centerpiece coming back to the Pistons as it will certainly be in the 31-35 range.

Seems like Pistons will hold out Rose from playing until he's traded so it seems close and/or they are motivated to work quickly.

Pistons also liked Quickly heading into the draft, but that doesn't seem likely. Also Pistons will need a PG in return as Killian Hayes is out a while still and Delon Wright and mid SRP Saben Lee only other PG's on the Pistons roster.

Frank N and Pistons Sekou Doumbouya are buddies from France and Pistons also drafted Killian Hayes. I'd say Frank N and Pistons SRP will be the trade.

Yeah that seems about right. My guess would be Smith because he's the most worthless. Getting back a top 35 pick is about right value wise. Plus saving a million dollars or so.

Great call on both statements. This is pure Thibs. The next wave of Knicks theory needs to be "Luol Deng, Joakim Noah, Taj GIbson...will the Knicks sign all 3?"

Draft comp better be the Pistons 2021 SRP because Smith Jr is cooked as a player. He's a small 2-guard who can't shoot. Flashy dunker with no vision.

Yeah I don't see why we'd agree to take any salary back in this deal unless we're getting SOMETHING of meaningful value in exchange for doing so.

I'd be happy to get our second rounder back at this point.

Seems to happen a lot. How can anyone know Rose is dealt if negotiations are ongoing? They could fall through if not finalized, no?
