I think Davis would be harder to get than Lebron at this point and over the course of the season I suspect Davis will heat up and make their current level of play closer. Doncic is fallible and not a guarantee to have a better career than Harden right now.

Vote Davis

It's between Lebron and Luka. Still have no idea how to do Lebron. So my tiebreaker is I think the Lakers would strongly consider trading Lebron for Luka to get the next Laker superstar in house but Dallas could never do the opposite. That could be totally wrong and Lebron has off the court value that can't be measured. But its my vote so....

V Luka
N Dame -- I know he makes a ton of money and I know his age is creeping up. But if I'm a contender or near contender I'd empty the clip.

V. LeBron by a mile.

People continue to vote like a contract only has value for the projected basketball production. This isn’t a “best future player” poll, it’s most valuable contract, and that means locking in all the off court value as well. Luka Doncic may be a top three basketball value,, but there is no chance that a guy who 98% of the world couldn’t identify if he was standing in their kitchen, has more value than James.

EDIT - I did a little research and it looks like LeBron has passed Tiger Woods and is now the second most recognized active athlete in the world (behind Ronaldo). In ten years, he will continue to be well-known, joining people like Jordan and Mohammed Ali. Being associated with the Lakers is tremendously valuable for them, long after his deal expires.

Easily Luka at #2 with his cheap rookie salary, product and upside.

Um no, it's pretty clearly not "the most valuable contract," it's trade value. They're different things.

We are talking about the value if we traded the player/contracts, right?

Anyway, I made my case. I’ll just keep voting LeBron until he’s off the board.

Luka. He's still on a rookie deal so will be under a team's control for 7 more years.

Lebron might be a great player but does not have trade value. He's not going to play for your team and the Lakers cannot trade him.

Vote: Luka
Nom: Durant

Even if LeBron brings a lot of money to the Lakers that doesn't mean other teams would be looking to trade away their long-term future for him.
