So I had the price pegged....
Guess Boston is out on Gordon. But great get for them for this cheap.

Good deal for both sides. I wonder if this ends up being a 3 team deal involving Bledsoe and a 1st to Orlando.

Smitty thinks it’s still a possibility.

It's weird that Fournier and McGee go for the same price

I don't see it; too many ways to construct it better if all done at once (or Gordon first).
Maybe they hold off on actually finalizing this though?

What an awful deal for BOS. Team is f-ing trash and Fournier ain't fixing it in HALF a season. And now pretty much and chance at landing an actual difference maker into the TPE is gone with like $10-11M left.
The only positive spin here could be that I guess BOS could re-sign Fournier with bird rights and still have the MLE to use this offseason. But that probably requires ownership to go a lot damn deeper into the luxury tax than any ownership group should be willing to for Evan Fournier and a mini-MLE player.

But, zero money back for Orlando is a big difference; really hard to do that normally.
Still, I have this as a straight Boston win.

If Boston is taking on the whole salary, then they aren't. Money always matters.

Boston is eating 6 mil more in salary this year, that's worth a second or 2 as well.

They should have gotten 2021 Celtics 1st. Fournier was worth a pick in the 20s.

If BOS is still in on Gordon, have to imagine that's the case. Kind of like how deals agreed to on draft night but not executed until new league year take on expanded forms.

Don't think Fournier is the guy Boston needs but pretty good value.

Yeah good player--only cost is part of the TPE. Hard to call that anything but a win. He's their 4th, maybe 5th best player walking in the door. For nothing.

From Grant; to Vuc, to barnes; to Gordon, and finally settling on Fournier.
I'd be an upset Celtics fan.

Did they not even give up a 2nd? That's a win, but man they had sights held so high. They need to follow up with another big move.

The tweet says Boston is giving up two 2nds. There are also rumblings the deal might still be expanded so that could change.
