Well we are hear again... Eating Crow 11
As we know this is when we pull up a chair to the table and munch on a big old plate crow.
Now rules of the game is it's YOU not the other guy that you just want to bust their balls.
But first as always a blast from the past.

I know I had some I'd said I'd note so will start with them. And oh man do I have a list. Some team/player related, some transaction related.

Never thought the Magic would really blow it entirely up.

Jerami Grant has been well more than I'd expected when he got that contract. Detroit is bad, but he seems to be doing quite well (and I'm thrilled for him).

The Suns....the Cam Johnson pick specifically, but that whole trade has worked out very well and I didn't like it then.

The Knicks are not only not one of the worst teams in the NBA they're a solid playoff team.

Didn't see the Nets being this good this fast, will own that one too.

Thought Houston would keep Harden for the year.

Thought OKC would be way worse record wise and didn't see SGA blowing up this much.

Initially didn't see Drummond getting bought out, but its happening.

- I couldn't believe when I saw what Detroit offered Grant. $20M/yr and they *want* him to be a featured part of the offence? What the?

Welp, I was flat-out wrong on that one. Just plain wrong. He's done extremely well and is positive value even at that figure.

- can't say I expected New York to be anywhere near this competitive even with Thibs cracking the whip.

- In my best move/worst move threads, I had the Clippers' best move as the Kennard trade. He's young and can still bounce back but they can't be overly happy with how it's gone to this point.

- I didn't think anyone was going to meet Orlando's price on Vucevic, so figured he was going to stick around at least through this season. I don't hate that Chicago did it but I'm still surprised.

Will update as I think of other stupid things I stupid thought...

I may or may not need to eat some crow.

I said no team in the nba would give 3 FRP for Vooch.

CHI gave WC and 2FRP which is pretty much the same thing.

I was very wrong about Julius Randle. I swore he’d never be mire than an offense only role player.

I’ll eat crow on this one too. I had him pegged as a big-stats-no-impact guy for his career

Eating big Crow on Lamelo Ball. I thought he would come in and be an inefficient highlight only guy. Hes been fantastic.

Eating crow on the Spurs. I had them as a bottom feeder this year and expected DeRozan/LMA would have been moved. Of course Pop proves me wrong.

I'll take some crow on the Magic as well. I thought they wouldn't do nearly this much. Figured Gordon would get moved and they would stay mostly par for the course.

Back to Charlotte I was very skeptical of that Hayward signing. Hes been great.

I also thought the Grizzlies would regress after last year. They have such a deep team.

I along with everyone will take a double serving of Thunder. I swore looking at that roster they would be a 15 win team. 30 games left and they have 19.

I thought the Wizards would find their way back to being competitive with Westbook and Deni additions. Boy was I wrong.

Randle is a good one I think a lot of us were wrong about. I mean I’d like to talk to the guy who was still saying he was going to break out.

I didn’t think Orlando would actually finally tear it down and they did well doing it.

But I’m right most of the time so I don’t think there are many more.

I’m right with you on all of these except OKC (I figured they would be competitive but not this much for sure) and Washington (it’s a dumpster fire and they have literally BOTHING at the 4/5).

Crow limbo about the Hawks.

Most people it seemed liked their off season. I saw the Kings try to add middling vets to the youth and backfire over & over. So was "concerned" for them.

Never outright said it was a bad idea, just suggestive it would backfire.

I will take a helping of crow for saying the Hawks would not make a deadline move. But I am adding some of my favorite BBQ sauce for the Rondo trade looking pretty good.

I'll have a plate for thinking that my team could make a run at the 6th seed with the help of an easy schedule the rest of the way. Several teams ahead of us made upgrades, while we seem more concerned about giving our first round pick the opportunity to prove he isn't a bust.

Where I was most wrong was about the Knicks and honestly I'm delighted. New York has a great team. No more jokes about their 9 power forwards. ;-)

Well I guest I'm going to be in that long line too for some BBQ Randle Crow.

I thought Hayward was done and Charlotte was dumb for picking him up.

I thought Portland would never trade First round picks or young guys.

This is a good thread. Thanks for keeping it up.

For me I'll crow on CP3. Didn't think OKC could get what they did for CP3 on that contract, but Presti is a beast.

Some of the Randle takes from last year were ridiculously bad.

I'll take my crow grill with BBQ sauce to help the taste.

I assume that the Heat would wait on Oladipo until the offseason and see what happens. Not only I was wrong, I never thought that all the Heat had to give up was Olynyk and Bradley without adding either Herro or Robinson. Dumb on Houston's part.

I assume that Terrence Ross would get caught up in the Magic fire sale. Today he got a reprieve. Maybe there were no takers or the right deal did not happen to appeal to the Magic.

Anybody ever thought the Spurs would finally make an NBA deadline trade after years of doing one? lol

I thought Okongwu was the best player this draft and that LaMelo Ball would bust

I didn't think Phoenix would be any good with all those softies

I didn't think the Knicks would be anywhere near as good as they are. Chalk that up to thinking Thibs was a dinosaur and Randle being an empty stats guy
