Keep it simple.

Orlando trades- Gary Harris, Mo Bamba, RJ Hampton, 8th pick from Chicago (if it sticks there)

Portland trades- Damien Lillard

Orlando gets a star player to with Isaac, Fultz, & their 2021 pick.

Portland gets 2 young prospects and a lottery pick.

Fultz
Lillard
Cade (fingers crossed)
Isaac
Carter

This is a pretty good trade for Orlando.

Portland never picks up the phone ever again for Orlando callers after receiving this offer.

What I think an actual Orlando offer could look like:

Harris, Bamba, Anthony, RJ, 3, 8, 2023 Chicago 1st, 2023 Orlando 1st, 2025 Orlando 1st, 2025 Denver 1st

Yeah, don't want to pile on, but this really misses the mark for Portland fans. It's missing at least three more future first-round picks to even begin negotiations (and it would possibly take a lot more to actually complete a deal).

Also, the Blazers only trade Dame if he wants out, and I don't think Orlando is making his list. If I'm Orlando, I keep building organically with youth anyway; there is no need to rush the timeline.

Not near enough for Portland.
#2, #8, Bamba, Fultz, Harris is closer.

Hard pass for POR.

Not trading Lillard for a handful of crap and a pick.

If Lillard was 25 yes. You do not get this much value typically and this is a HARD pass.

Could have added a few more picks Orlando's 2022 unprotected, Chicago's 2023 unprotected pick but I wouldnt consider RJ, 8th and Bamba as crap. You have to remember that Lillard is 30 and teams rarely get great value when trading away their stars.

At the value OP proposed its a no brainer, but realistically it would require a lot more and Lillard unfortunately does not fit Orlandos timeline or direction so for those reasons I'm out.

Fair enough.

I’m a Bamba fan, hope he gets some serious minutes this year as I believe he has the chance to be a very solid player.

Have no opinion on Hampton and Harris is a bench guy.

If Lillard were on the market there would be about 20 better offers than this.

This offer wouldnt get Portland to even pick up the phone.

The other issue is that Lillard is a fixture in Portland. I think he will be one of those rare players that never leaves, and his contract helps insure that. But if he were to ever move on, I think both Lillard and the Portland organization would make sure he was going to good situation - a team where he would be contending. In other words, I don’t think debating the price really matters.

How would Portland know the offer before picking up the phone? That is impressive.

As for the trade: WTF?

being an Orlando fan, you would have to include our other 2021 pick in this just to talk

none of the players are enticing enough to even be sweeteners in a trade revolving around a star like Lillard so you are proposing the 8th pick for Lillard?

what?

no, that is way too much. Maybe if Lillard was 25, not 31.

unless Bamba develops a motor this summer and takes things seriously, he isnt going to be solid

Maybe the coaching change will help.

D.O.A.

From Portland's standpoint, other teams would easily top this offer (Murray+MPJ from DEN, Simmons from PHI).

From Orlando's standpoint, Dame is being vocal that the Blazers need to contend/win now. If you put him on a gutted Orlando team to play 2003-04 Tracy McGrady, he's going to be ten times more disgruntled than he is now.
