So where does Utah go from here?

So what do they do?

I'm a fan of Harris but he really let them down in this series. He might be worth trading.
Jordan is definitely worth trading.
Dinwiddie should be helpful if he stays.
I think Brown, Griffin and Green were excellent and need to be re-signed if possible.

I see what Shamet, Jordan and 27 could possibly get me and otherwise re-sign Dinwiddie and hope the team stays healthy.

Don't get hurt, sign ring chasers.

Mostly this. But also turn Jordan's money into a productive player using your 1st. Do not repeat Presti with Kendrick Perkins. I know your owner will spend way more than the OKC owner would then, but do not just leave the dead weight. I don't care who he is friends with. That way when you get hurt you have one more guy.

Trade Durant, Harden, and Irving; build around Joe Harris.

Shamet+Johnson+TLC+27 for what solid frontcourt role player?

Kleber?

Thomas Bryant?

Poltl?

Saric?

Favors?

Harrell?

Legitimately asking, do the Nets really have much options other than scrounging through ring chasers? Durant, Harden, and Irving are clearly going nowhere. And do the Nets risk potentially pissing off KD and moving DeAndre Jordan even if he's the obvious trade bait? Other then that, they've got Joe Harris and Spencer Dinwindie (if he opts in). And they can only trade their FRP this year but only after they make their pick.

I mean I dodged a personal bullet that Blake Griffin is no longer in the playoffs. But that narrative is definitely tired not wired.

They desperately need a 3+D wing in their starting lineup. They don't have a single two-way role player actually, Griffin is probably the closest thing.

Harris for DFS and Kleber?

Why would Dallas trade DFS for Harris? DFS is a much better defender on a cheap contract.

What about this deal:

Harris+27 for Bamba+Ross?

Nets gamble on Bamba. Ross is a replacement shooter. Magic get Harris (superior shooter to Ross) to be their floor spacer for their young guys.

Brooklyn needs a 3+D guy badly, Detroit has just what they need

Harris, Claxton, Jordan, #27
for
Jerami Grant, Plumlee, Okafor

Grant is much better than Harris at defense and should be more dependable come playoff time as he doesnt depend on streaky shooting to have a good game - brings intangibles to the table

Losing Claxton and #27 hurts but Plumlee is a solid starting center signed to a friendly 8M deal, Okafor played decently this season and should be able to give you some minutes at C - he doesnt have to be included in the trade works with just Grant/Plumlee

Pistons take on Jordan's dead weight for #27, Claxton, and Harris (who they most likely will end up dealing for more assets)

Grant is the best player in that deal and it's not even close.

And your point here?

Claxton is 22, signed to a cheap deal next season, amounts to a late 1st in productivity 6 pts / 5 rebounds on a contending Nets squad is pretty good as a second year player. Should be able to resign him for cheap.

#27 is another 1st round pick to add to the rebuild.

Jordan only has two more years left on his contract and can be bought out if necessary or used in future trades - which is most likely what will happen.

The real prize for the Pistons is Harris - the best 3PT shooter in the league this regular season - should be able to turn him into one young asset like for example Wiseman from the Warriors.

Not much needed as they will be the absolute favourites next season but I can see them packaging Shamet/Perry/Jordan/#27 for something.

To Cleveland
Jordan
#27
Shamet
Claxton

for

Larry Nance JR

would be the perfect move for them

The Nets are only 4th, 5th & 6th Super Star away from buying a NBA Championship.

How about this..

Kawhi signs as a free agent, CP3 signs as a FA and the Joker gets traded to the Nets for Joe Harris, DeAndre Jordan and a 2nd round pick.

KD needs more help and this gives him a slim chance to make the EC finals.

Yes I hate Super Teams. In truth Brooklyn just needs to stay healthy.

My point is that is an awful trade for Detroit. If they wanted a young asset they could just trade off Grant and get better value.
