Seriously though. Fit may not be nice, but Westbrook is underrated around here. This team is matching Brooklyn for sure.

Cool cool. Fine with it for both teams though I don't know if Westbrook will provide much more production than KCP come playoffs since LBJ will have the ball in his hands.

Beal should be traded to GS next. Washington is running in circles.

They gave up nothing for him, his contract is terrible but no denying he's a talent upgrade.

Lakers will have some depth to replace, but even at his current age, Westbrook is a minutes-eater. Taking pressure off LeBron so he can "load manage" going forward is a smart move.

The Wiz should trade Beal or he's gone in FA.

The Lakers as a collective organization are pretty **** stupid. They chose Westbrook over Hield + KCP? And they gave up a 1st? There's no doubt that Lebron and AD pushed for this. They're going to be complaining about the spacing all season while being painfully unaware of their own decisions. They deserve every bit of criticism and scrutiny coming to them this season.

The Wiz win this going away. If they flip Kuz and Harrell for a S&T Dinwiddie that is a hell of a upgrade.

That being said, I still think Beal is out.

I don’t hate making sure Bron gets rest during regular season.

I don’t think it’s exciting, but think Washington could pretty easily flip Kuzma for Bledsoe and at least give Beal some kind of PG..

Really like getting value for Washington but hate leaving Beal with this roster.

People remember Westbrook's strong late-season play as Washington rallied for a playoff spot - but they were only so far out of the playoffs because the first half of the year they were a disaster with Westbrook on the court.

Given the depth they lose I don't even really see this helping LAL much (if at all) in the regular season or the playoffs.

For Washington it's a good trade because it doesn't really hurt in the short-run (as noted, Westbrooks net impact last year wasn't that big) gets them a late 1st and salary relief. I still don't see the route forward for Washington to become a good team (like 50+ wins) with Beal.

He didn't maximize Wade. The Heat were significantly better when they staggered their minutes with Lebron playing with the bench. The first 3 guards you mentioned can all shoot the lights out...

I read in the other thread that was locked he has not shown championship level impact yet. not entirely sure Westbrook has to have that effect. he was still putting up a triple double from what I just googled this past season. 22/11/11?? I am seeing that right? his personality and money have been in question, gets a bunch of shade all the time. actually 12 rebounds and assists even if rounded up. don't think he will have that demand on his body, energy levels, production. but interesting he can turn that on when needed. very interesting move.

I and'1ed someone's post that mentioned Westbrook will have to concede he is most definitely not the alpha dog here. Lebron and even AD gotta be the guys to get that level of respect. really did not see this one coming. Russ put up those numbers and virtually no hype on these boards anymore for the guy. as long as the right respect levels and understanding of roles can go smoothly. ya pick up shooters and make it work.

He maximized 2012 and 2013 Wade, especially after the injuries starting catching up.

Regardless, LeBron and Westbrook is going to be fun to watch. LeBron has never player with someone with Westbrooks motor (Nobody has).

Just here to look for all the people who didn't think the wizards would get a first out of Westbrook lol.
