Love this for Indy without knowing the other two picks

Id rather have #31. Nice pickup for Indiana.

Kinda surprising for Milwaukee. they are going to need nice cheap talent and 31 is just that.

I have picks later than 50 as having no trade value at all so this all depends on the other 2 picks and where they end up. My gut says MIL should've waited till pick #31 and fielded offers then

Most all of our future 2nds are “worst of…” kind of options. We do have some far off Miami 2nds that :dontknow:

Have to assume the 60 is going to be used to draft stash Alex Antetekounmpo, right? Otherwise, 2 more future 2nds to be able to use mid-seasons for moves doesn’t hurt, though I think 31 would get them better help than that. I guess just focusing on future flexibility?

I fully expect baby Antetokounmpo to be drafted higher on name recognition alone and picks that late are sold multiple times every draft so if that's their plan... oops

How would they have signed #31? #31 isn't taking the vet min; would have required (some of) their taxpayer MLE.

I look for the Bucks to pick a couple of Euro's to stash for 2-3 years with the 54 and 60.

Let's hope the Pacers pick a good player and don't flip it for more 2nds like they did after getting the 32 pick and Warren.

Is that how that works? I know they're not just staight-up exceptions to cap restrictions (besides cap holds) like 1st rounders, but didn't realize you have to dip into exceptions to sign folks. That's probably what's going on here if so, want to keep options open and not bother drafting a guy up high in the 2nd they're not going to sign.

Yeah, you need either an exception or cap space to sign a guy 31 to somewhere between 35-40ish area, as thats the area where they need 1.5m not 800k to sign, and usually 3 years gtd. Its a tough tradeoff to bring that in instead of an Alec Burks type guy (bryne Forbes etc) who should help more in the short run.
